@LCDAWGS19We don’t get a lot of information on the Wildcats typically. What makes you say that?

I truly wonder if this has something to do with the cost of insurance. Which if that’s the case then say so, but to just pretend like this rule was in place for years is crazy. More so, who voted on these changes. Why weren’t the stake holders given a chance to speak on it. In states where Football matters, they are doing 7v7 in June and July becomes season prep.

I just saw that Nicholas is looking for a game this week. They were supposed to play Berea. Did Berea end up folding the team or are they just banged up?

You also have a huge surge in the growing Gun-T. This is where alot of coaches are able to do exactly as you’re suggesting. Kenny Simpson has popularized this version and sold his system all over the country. it takes Wing T series and re-does it all from the shotgun using a combination of a Wing and Spread formations. This allows teams to be in shot gun to run all of the runs such as Buck and Trap, but still have a passing game. Many have started even adding AirRaid passing concepts to it. Thus people calling it the “Wing Raid”

Pendleton County just completed their turf field. They will be playing on turf this year

Here’s my opinion. The Wing T, much like the Air Raid, or Single Wing, Triple Option, or any other offense that is a system. What makes them great is that they are exactly that, a system. Not just a collection of plays but a system of plays that work together but even beyond that, those that buy into one of these usually buys into it, also buys into how to practice it, how to install it, etc. That’s what allows you to be successful running them. That being said, in a modern era of Football I do believe that has to be a balance unless you just have extremely good talent. Good talent elevates yours scheme no matter what. What I think limits the Wing-T is the lack of balance or focus to the pass game. This is why you’re seeing more and more Gun T teams popping up that try to reduce that limitation. But ultimately it’s this, the system a coach knows inside and outside will always be the best system or scheme for that coach. And then on top of that your level of talent that helps that scheme is even more important.

Y’all see my username right? I’m staying out of this one… ??

According to this Board Doc, they are building the restrooms where the raised area is by the 9th Street steps. doesn't sound like they are moving anything else. 6_SafetyFacilitiesAndTransportationBoardReportFebruary272024_0.pdf

So based on the design plan, there does not seem to be a locker room for either team. I assume both teams will prepare/change in the field house?

did a little Google search to confirm and found this! Article about Coach

Just looked at the KHSAA list of head coaches and Smith is currently listed as the HC.
