Last week was cancelled/ postponed. Will they be able to play this week?

They currently have 15 players on the KHSAA roster, including 4 freshmen. Opponent is Lynn Camp, another small 1A school with 22 players listed. Have to think if they don't play this week it might be all over for the Pirates in 2025.

Wow, I didn't realize Berea was down to 15 players.  Hopefully they can recruit some more from the halls.

I just saw that Nicholas is looking for a game this week. They were supposed to play Berea. Did Berea end up folding the team or are they just banged up?

Looking more likely that Sayre and Eminence will have to find two late games (presumably out of state) with Frankfort and Berea struggling with numbers.

Good times are hopefully ahead for both Berea and Frankfort.  It was not too many years ago when Bracken (15 players dressed) played Beechwood in 1st round of playoffs.  Will always remember my respect for Noel Rash exploded off the charts after that game.

Honest question, would these schools struggling with numbers be able to play each other in 8 man football or some equivalent? I have to imagine that would be better on morale/ sustainability than forfeiting games. I've never been in that bad of a situation. I'm not saying a 8 man league, but almost like a joint practice/scrimmage type scenario. is that allowed?

Yes, Berea cancelled the game against Nicholas County.

Agreed. Get out ahead of it, don’t wait until the week of to try to find a replacement game.
