Has Cooper released their 2025 schedule yet ? I know they open with Anderson (OH).

Add Aiden Duncan (SR) to the running back room . He had a great summer , off-season last year and played really well in the Male scrimmage. Unfortunately he experienced a season ending injury in week 1. I'd expect to hear his name quite a bit this year.

Thanks Coach , just an unfortunate part of the game . He’s got a very special two years ahead of him. He’ll be back .

Unfortunately Williams suffered a broken tibia from this play. Losing him in the 1st sucked. Hope for a speedy recovery!

Congrats to the Cooper Jags , obviously a tale of two halves . Back to back drives coming out of halftime resulting in snaps over the qbs head and Cooper recovering. That’s a hard beast to stop when you let a team like Cooper start a drive inside their own 30 yard line and they’re the last team you want to let get in a groove. Throw in a fumbled kick off return and a recovered snap in the endzone! To me this was more Cooper taking advantage of Highlands self destruction than second half game planning or adjustments . To make matters worse throw in the loss of Gabe Williams to a hip drop tackle in the first half , starting linebacker Issac Neiman to an ACL the week prior. For Cooper this was the most dominant performance I’ve personally seen Austin Alexander have . Their receivers are always really impressive after the catch , last night was no different. Hearing the loss of their starting Rb was unfortunate and I wish him a speedy recovery, with that said…. Ryker Campbell is a dude and might actually be better . Good luck in state to Cooper and I’m glad to hear these two will continue to play . I think it’s also important to note to all of the Bluebird fans that this was a great season. Not the result we ultimately wanted but being as young as we are after loosing 26 seniors last year , I’d say the future is bright! We return our whole O - Line , tons of Sophomores and Juniors , back to back Freshman seasons , an undefeated JV season and great Middle School talent in the pipeline. We’re in a very good place in the Fort !! Go Birds !

Though I do love your prediction for the birds next season , it’s only right to make sure you know these two will still be playing after this season.

Agreed !! The Birds are 10 points away from being undefeated, while loosing 26 seniors last year. At least 6 sophomores are seeing the field consistently on Friday nights , there’s a lot to be excited about right now (as these guys are getting better game by game) and in the near future.

TE/DE Clukey played the whole JV game today. I would be shocked to see his playing duties extend beyond just JV this season, and I mean shocked !

This is correct, 5 TD catches today! Had a nasty catch on a corner lob to convert a 2pt conversion as well.

This will fortunately be the last year for a few years playing this early.

Sounds like a good thing ! I still say Cooper will be more than fine , I was impressed with Oharas scrambling capabilities last year as well, taking that away last night changes quite a bit. That O line will jive , just takes time. I will say hopefully they do it before they play Ryle , their D- fence seems to be pretty darn nasty.

I think I remember @THUNDERBIRDS mentioned people sleeping on Surrey and Arnold last week, when your pulling away from Male defenders in the open field YOU CAN MOVE . Had great seasons last year but you’ll see a lot more of their true capabilities with Rio at QB this year. Litmer had a lot of time in the pocket last night

Correct! Every 3 play rotation whole first half , all 6 with 20 plus yards , that’s not including Surrey and Litmer who both also ran the ball very well.

Who said what they did wasn’t impressive? He said “can’t block Alexander “ I said they did. There was no more focus placed on him the 2nd game opposed to the 1st. Ran straight at him both games, there was no added emphasis on blocking Alexander as opposed to any other defender throughout the year. I though there defense played great !

I forgot you can’t dominate an area of the game and loose at the same time , I guess O’Hara didn’t torch the highlands secondary the first game throwing for 400 plus because Cooper lost. You make no sense , everyone knows who won and lost, Highlands blocked Alexander very well last year , that’s the facts.

Highlands rushed for 416 yards first game and 178 second game and ran right at him both games If anyone can block him it’s the birds, turnovers were the difference in the 2nd game. Max Merz dominated that battle last year , Mulvi and Lonaker were the defensive difference makers the 2nd game.
