Cooper at Simon Kenton (Scrimmage)

Cooper travels to Independence Friday they play the  Pioneers at 7pm in a scrimmage. Cooper apparently struggled against CAL. SK had there way with LexCath. Should be an interesting scrimmage. Cooper oline is young. SK is loaded with depth.

This could end up being a high scoring scrimmage.

SK better hope QBs are not live because Austin Alexander will be licking his chops against those big slow O linemen from SK.  Maybe they can work on their lookout blocks this week.  That’s where when Alexander runs by them they turn around and yell lookout to the QB.

Cooper better hope he gets there quick.  I don't have a dog in the fight, but I would say the back 4 will be the Achilles heel of Cooper this year on defense.  If they can find a way to sure that up, then a repeat trip to Lexington is a possibility.  If not, it might be an early exit for them this year.

Maybe I’m in the minority here but unless Cooper has a defense full of Austin Alexander’s I don’t think SK is gonna struggle that much offensively. They’re big and physical and block well as an entire offensive unit plus a few solid receivers.

My guess would be Simon will struggle more trying to defend Cooper.

Will find out Friday. For record Cooper has never beat SK in Varsity football! And I know this is just a scrimmage.
