  3. Sheppard is the real deal, He could have dropped 50 if he wanted to. Only took 2 shots in the 3rd and was looking to pass the ball more.
  4. With the start of a brand new basketball season right around the corner the 15th region sure looks to back a punch this season. In a super competitive region loaded with several D1 prospects here are the preseason rankings leading into what should be a very interesting 2021/22 basketball season. 1. Paintsville - The reigning 15th region champions return their top five in scoring. Led by senior Colby Fugate (21.0 PPG) and Senior Braxton Tharpe (12.6) the Tigers look to repeat in winning the 57th and the 15th. 2. Pikeville - Pikeville looking to have a bounce back season after a first round lost in the 59 to Shelby Valley, the Panthers are hoping to have Rylee Samons back from a knee injury to lead the way for the Panthers and are awaiting word on the eligibility of senior transfer Keian Worrix. If both are ready to go the Panthers will be a tough matchup in the season. 3. Martin County – Led by senior guard Brady Dingess (22.1 PPG) the cards are two years removed from winning the 15th region crown. Playing in one of the toughest districts in the state Martin County will be looking to make its way back into the region. 4. East Ridge - Coach Brody Justice is looking for a repeat season that saw his squad win the 59th district lead by Senior Isaac Woods (14.7 PPG) the Warriors are looking for another memorable season on the Reservation. 5. Belfry - Belfry has the usual faces of Sal Dean and Bol Kur returning this year, which is a very strong duo, what could make them a force is the new players that have transferred in and if everyone can gel on a short notice. 6. 6. Greenup Scheduled 3 games in one day after we had to cancel on them and they all feel through hours after, I'm just glad we are able to give our a kid to play actual games on the field and the KHSAA is being flexible with the scheduling to let that happen.
  7. I think it's gonna be a great year after the first 3 days this week I feel really confident. We have 45 kids out so far and they looking impressive.
  8. The Cards have had a great off season in the weight room.
  9. They won't be able to do that, It's a repeat year so this years classes will not count and they will have to repeat all required classes the full year in order to graduate. I'm sure each district will have to come up with a set of rules to iron all of it out though.
