I just love the regular helmet look. You’d think they could mirror the angry bird to be facing forward on both sides of the helmet. I'd like to see the early 80s H-wing before the angry bird.

He’s been a strong runner for a while. I believe he was injured for the majority of the season last year sadly. Also he is Birds Legend Derek Smiths nephew.

I would guess Aiden Duncan would be a big contributor to the running game. Isaac Neimann could be another but I think he will be a big part of the defense. Also Lorenzen can be put at a fullback type position. I don’t know of any other options at RB besides those.

You should write a Cov Cath Football history book. I’d get one.

Beau Hoge went into halftime with a hurt arm from what I could tell. He balled out in the second half and orchestrated Highlands best comeback ever. It was wild to watch. Highlands last State Championship ….

Cov Cath at Highlands 10/3 will have a Lorenzen playing in it. Plus Highlands and Cov Cath are in the same division again this year.

How come Cov Cath gets three classic rivals Beechwood, Dixie and Highlands? Everyone else has like one?

What does the projected Highlands starting OLine look like? Merz, Howard, Cook, and who else? I believe I’ve heard Swope is another? I really don’t know who is stepping up is it an open battle right now? Who would be center?

NKY- Highlands is a pretty unique stadium up against the brick wall. Being a Dixie fan you’re probably just used to it. Down south there are some teams like Bell Co, Sheldon Clark that have mountain stadiums. Belfry is also really cool. Kentucky just doesn’t have schools big enough for Helicopter budgets.

Does Highlands have a spring ball game/scrimmage this Friday?

Nice. Did Lorenzen participate? I don’t think I’ve seen Cash outside of a football uniform. Really nice group of QBs in northern Kentucky.

That’s how Highlands stole the two Streeter brothers from St Xavier like 15 years ago.

I heard something similar. I thought one was a returning starter transferring to GCL. The other was a non starter transferring to same GCL. Haven’t heard anything else about it.

That dungeon was part of what gave Highlands their grit. The little nasty leg extension machine room had sweat running down the walls. You could hear the lost souls of extra reps moan from the drain.

Not a great example but highlands had a kickoff specialist kicker in 98 that was a freshman. Malone. He left highlands after that year. I’m not sure if he played freshman football with baby birds. I believe that freshman team won the frosh championship. Behymer, Rob Smith, Gramstad, Eamon Mueller team. Behymer was on varsity kickoff too and Rob Smith was on goal line defense formation on varsity. So 3 freshman dressed and started (on special teams) for one of the best Highlands teams ever.

I think Lorenzen gets time at TE mostly, some FB and some QB. Rio will be a polished starting QB. Crazy Oline. He will be needed as a TE/WR. So will Harris at WR.
