OSU played their super bowl against Clemson physically, mentally and emotionally. It is incredibly hard to maintain that killer focus for two big games two weeks apart like that. If they would have played like they did in the semifinals against Bama I think it would have been a one score or so Bama win. Also losing Sermon after plays was a big deal. M. Teague is good but Sermon is a beast on wheels. Alabama’s OLine is just too good to beat. They couldn’t get to Mac Jones and then he’s throwing to the heisman freak.

That is a big first game. I like it, he has nothing to lose. Highlands is obviously supposed to lose to the returning champs, Bowling Green. Bowling Green will have limited tape on James Coaching at Highlands. Bowling Green graduates most of their playmakers on offense. Perfect set up. James seems like the kind of guy that knows how to get after it and get the kids excited, ready and believing in themselves.

I feel like OSU has to come for Mack Jones too. Dude is probably the most statue QB to play in CFP history. Get some licks on him and maybe his deep ball won't be so pretty.

Is Waddle playing?

All they need is that OLine, Sermon, Fields and Olave. They can win with that. Just stop the deep ball. Pass interference is better than a TD. And run the ball all day long.

I watched an interview with him before the state championship on YouTube. I liked what he had to say and was about. I especially like to hear he gets heavily involved with the youth league in the community where he coached, that is a recipe for success.

If he guaranteed victory, he probably saw the miss-matches on both sides of the line of scrimmage. Clemson's weakness was offensive line. Alabama has a lot better of a offensive line so I think the game will be competitive. I just think OSU can control the game better than Bama can, Sermon all day and take shots with with Fields. Plus I think a big factor is Mac has cinder block feet and Fields can move.

I think that this will be a great game. As a Clemson fan, watching both of the semi final games, OSU is a touchdown better than Bama. Clemson is like 2.5 touchdowns better than ND, OSU dominated us more than Bama dominated ND. By the eye test OSU was the best team I saw that day. They flat out wanted it more period. Also the OSU fundamentals of football were just at another level. Will there be a hangover after an emotional revenge win like that? That is all OSU has to fear I think. Day is a great coach and he will transition the "I get no respect" narrative to fire up his team for this game as well. OSU 41 Bama 36
