The defense has been tough, but the Dragons can’t keep giving John this type of field position and expect to win this game. John gets the ball coming out of the half, and that drive will be a big one for both teams.

Dragons get a 12 yard run for the first. A stop on first down and stop on second down and the Dragons spike it with a 4th and 8 with 20 seconds in the half. John is able to force a turnover on downs and have 14 seconds left in the half. John with a big gain on a reverse to the Dragon 39.

Dragons out past the 50 and have a fourth and 2 with 54 seconds left in the half.

John Hardin drops a pass for the first down and the Dragons take over with 3 mins left in the half from the 31 yard line.

Dragons fake the punt and don’t get it. Turnover on downs at their own 35. Dragons have given John Hardin amazing field position all game and have given them every chance to be in this game. Lucky the Dragons are still up 14-3. Dragons have forced a 4th and 6. 4th down play coming.

Dragons just had the ugliest series they have had all year. Bad snap and fumbled exchange, run the wrong way and then a shanked punt. That was ugly. Somehow the Dragons escape with John Hardin having the ball at the Dragon 45.

Seymour breaks a big run for the dragons to the house, and the dragons get the 2 point conversion and lead 14-3.

John Hardin breaks a big run down to the 27 and then are stuffed and kick a 27 yard field goal. Dragons lead 6-3, still in the first.

Green County receives the kickoff and promptly drives down the field and puts it in for the score. Dragons miss the extra point and lead 6-0 in the first.

I’ll be honest, I didn’t expect this game to be anywhere near this close, and from the description you gave, sounds like they more than likely should have lost this game. I Especially felt this way after Russell County was blown out by Adair County last week. Football is a wild sport, and that’s why matchups matter and you lace them cleats up every week.
