You have to give the coach credits the games he had control over he scheduled tough.

Starts out pretty tough weakens a little in the middle and then finishes strong overall pretty respectable schedule.

I remember that Glasgow game the Scotties was coming off back to back runner up seasons where they lost to a great Boyle Co squad both years Boyle finally moved on to 3A that year and then Bardstown got moved up from 1A and they were loaded but as good as they were offensively they really shined on defense the score of that game was 0-0 with one play left in the third and the Scotties a predominately running team couldn’t get anything done on the ground so they tried to go deep and the ball was intercepted and returned for a touchdown and it kind of just snowballed from there so that was three straight years I truly believed the Scotties had exceptional teams that ran into some of the best high school teams I’ve ever seen.

Anything other than virus updates would be great.

I’m a Glasgow fan and they’ve had the paw off and on for several years I personally liked the blue paw on the white helmets a little better but I’m a traditionalist so I love there helmet it seems like everyone wants to go to something extravagant anymore and that’s just not what I like.

Some people may think of this as a weak schedule but with their district as tough as it is and with them struggling for so long I think it’s a good move to schedule games you can compete in to give the program some good vibes and then maybe more players will start coming out and they can build something.

If that’s the case they will for sure play because pro is going to play there’s to much money involved.

Maybe a couple tidbits of good news several college coaches seem to think their seasons will start on time and I noticed on KSR that UK is planning on having students on campus this fall so high schools may follow what colleges do.

I understand not all teams do but a lot of teams take their bye right before their toughest district game so a lot of them would have it at the same time and some other teams might have to schedule another game with someone with the same bye week and there would probably be a few that would lose a game but I still believe that would be a better option than just playing half the season. Can you imagine playing a 4 game regular season you might only have to go 8-0 to have a undefeated season you would always think that you got jabbed.

It seems to me that the numbers don’t appear to be dropping but yet states are beginning to open stuff back up that they believe either things are improving or some kind of medicine is on the way. Also to believe kids could go to school and social distance is completely ridiculous anyone who has kids knows better than that, so that being the case if schools are back in there is no more chance in spreading the virus through sports than through school. My only thought is that they could push the season back 3 weeks if needed like this 1. No bye week. 2. No first round playoff games these are usually blowouts anyway. 3. Extend the season just one week that way you still don’t get into the holidays although I don’t think that matters as much as some because they play basketball during the holiday season.

I think it all boils down to the schools if they open in the fall then why not have football if the students are around each other all day then it would be no worse to play sports.

Hunter Scott from Glasgow was really impressive last year as a sophomore catching 46 balls for 748 yards and 14 TDs that means 30% of his catches went for touchdowns what’s even more impressive is he wasn’t a full time receiver he also played running back some and defense as well he also split catches with another excellent sophomore receiver in Jay Long.

I know we are a long way away but with virtually all sports suspended or canceled do we think this will clear up by the fall I personally think in a couple months this virus will be a afterthought but what do you guys think.

I’m pretty sure they announced during the season that Chase Jones from Glasgow has signed with Western.

I would like to see Glasgow play someone from the eastern part of the state they have played home and home with Corbin, Bell and Somerset over the years and split with them I would like to see Belfry or Ashland maybe Hazard someone like that.

Glasgow should be good too their sophomore class was loaded last year so they ain’t going anywhere either.

I’m a Glasgow fan and was curious what kind of team they think they will have next year I think they lost both those really good running backs to graduation.

When was the last time they had a winning season.

Tough schedule only two struggling teams and those are district games so they didn’t have a choice Mayfield schedules as tough as anyone.
