SemperFidelis said a lot when he said that DeSales has a much stronger D Line and that CAL will have to successfully pass to stay close. But passing is probably CAL's greatest strength. I just hope the D Line can force some hurries and possibly some interceptions or fumbles. CAL's QB is very talented & he has a couple of outstanding receivers that could give the Colts some trouble. It should be a good game & I wouldn't be surprised if it's a really close game. Go Colts!!

Colts score again. Bad snap on the extra point attempt. Score now is 49-7 DeSales. End of the 3rd Quarter. I don't think many people figured this game to be this one-sided! I think the size and strength of DeSales on the offensive & defensive lines was the big difference.

According to the radio announcers DeSales is dominating the line of scrimmage. They have mentioned several times that DeSales is much bigger on both lines. I have noticed a lot of Colts penalties though! I feared that the long drive for the road trip might take a lot out of the Colts, but apparently it didn't have to big of an effect. Colts should be careful though, because PT is a tough team and they aren't likely to just lie down! 2nd half coming up.

DeSales must have better pass coverage this week. The Colts have a few things to get worked out, but they should still be pretty competitive in this one if they can cut down on turnovers. If DeSales can control the line of scrimmage they have a pretty good chance here. These 6-A opponent's are a good way for the Colts to prepare for the postseason. Let's hope they can stay healthy!!

I think X has the advantage this year for a number of reasons. Their QB is back from injury & should be more prepared this year. The players are more used to the new coach's system, and they'll be playing at home & looking to avenge last year's loss. St. X also has the advantage of numbers. DeSales is forced to play several key players on both sides of the ball while X can rest their star athletes by only playing them one way. They'll also have greater depth on the O and D lines. All that being said, they will have to take the Colts seriously or they could be in trouble again. DeSales has some really good athletes & they are used to playing bigger teams who don't have to play both ways. The key for DeSales will be the new QB. I don't know if they have announced a starter at QB (probably Demarcus Avery), but whichever is chosen he will face a tough test in his first appearance at QB. Hopefully it will be a good game. This ought to be one heck of a good game!! Both teams have explosive talent & I expect a very close game. I haven't been able to see Mayfield except one on film vs Caldwell Co. Their QB looks strong & Kent Trey-Matthews is a talented running back. But I think CAL's going to win the battle of the line of scrimmage. They are tough to move. And their defense is awfully strong. I'm going to say CAL 35 - Mayfield 21. I look forward to watching this one!
