Marty Rankin has been named interim coach at HC. IMO he should have been named the head coach after Kes left.

Im guessing this was a family decision and he had no choice. The kid has been in the area since he was in primary school and is very close with his teammates and their families. Would have loved to see what this group could have done together this year with him.

She was offered by the old staff at NKU but that offer was taken away by the new staff. I believe she landed at a great place for her. I think she peeked early in her high school career. Great kid and great family. Wish her the best in the next step of her career.

NDA will be a good team to watch but I think it would have been that way regardless of who the coach was. The talent that was destined to come into the school had a rich tradition of winning and playing together for years. The younger talent in the program last year already proved that they could win with by the freshmen having an above .500 winning percentage and the JV having an above .500 winning percentage and a winning the JV regional. Not saying Kes is not a good coach but he got put in a very good situation.

I expect Highlands and Dixie to have good showings this week. Both teams return alot of players with Varsity experience. Notre Dame, Holy Cross and NCC will be interesting to watch due to the coaching changes. This will be a small look into the drama that will be the 9th region in the winter.

I see that. Just strange and says something about the loyalty down in Latonia. I just think that some good coaches get passed over for jobs without a quality reason.

I would like to know why Andre wasn't hired. A lot of strange things happening in Ky high school sports.

The rules only hurt the kids that have to transfer schools for the right reason. I personally feel like every transfer should be handled within the school districts on a case by case basis. Not every transfer is the same and should be reviewed individually

No way this is true. Change of school district has to be a legal transfer.

Stamm is a no brainer. I also agree with the post that said just because you are winning does not mean you are happy. Ive heard that the parents at Conner are not the good to him even though he is winning. Its always a pleasure to go back home and do something great.

Id like to see Stamm get the job if he wants it. Ludlow alum and former coach, think he would be a great fit. He is an even better guy. Hopeful he puts in for it and gets a chance to return home.

Yes he did pursue the NDA job but they went in a different direction. The storylines between these 2 programs make this a true rivalry.

I am interested to see if Jerry can really coach. I think he is an okay person but never have I seen him actually coach. Another question I have is was this hire in response to Kes leaving for NDA? I know they had to hire someone but was Jerry a way of getting back at NDA.
