Saw today that Coach Sturgeon got the job. I think that is his last name. The old St. Henry coach.

Probably not the best choice for the job knowing his style and the girls in the program.

Absolutely not. Just not a fan of the hire. Don’t think his style fits.

What is the Lloyd "style" you speak of that you don't feel this coach can adapt to? Lloyd hasn't been exactly a juggernaut, no pun intended, in girls basketball over the years. Hard to believe any coach with experience can't adapt. I know they got a solid big who isn't a pure smooth player but is very effective and long and puts up nice numbers. I don't see any coach being their issue with success.

I wasnt saying Lloyd had a style, what Im saying is certain players dont deal well with certain coaching styles. The solid big you are talking about will be a key to their success. If she trusts the new coaching staff, then Lloyd will be fine. I think Paul will have to build a solid relationship and understanding outside of basketball to connect.

Also the past coaching staff did a great job with getting the most out of the players that were on the time. And I disagree with you saying that any coach could have done that because coaching is about relationships.

I like Coach Sturgeon. A little hard nosed at times. Hopefully the girls will welcome him and adjust to the change because you need all parts to be successful.
