  1. We will see once the b-ball season gets going. Before Warren Central hired a new recruiter it was BG’s Region to win. WC only test I see for BG. BG is a way more athletic team that last season. BG is long starting 1 6’6 post player and 2 6’5 wing players. 6’3 post player who plays above the rim. Guard play is solid provided by 2 seniors. Even tho Unseal believes this might be his deepest team, BG is very deep even after the BG transfers to WC with Boyd being the only player that would of played any minutes. BG blew out Saint X by 40 and also went to Christian co and over came referees and a 11 point deficit to come back and win that one 2. The top 3 teams in the region is BG , WC and Greenwood. Glasgow would of been 3rd but after losing Franklin to a season ending knee injury will put an end to their chances of winning Region.
  2. When has a team that wasn’t from Bowling Green win the 4th region. I wouldn’t put any of those in front of my list. Did Bandy make the all region team? Harlan shoots every time he touches the ball. I was at the regional last year when BG best em pretty easily , that’s with Stockton there as well. Glasgow will be good but not going to beat BG or WC and Greenwood will give them everything they want. Chandler is good as well his team will be bad but I agree he’s a good player. I don’t believe the players you mentioned are top ten. I only saw those guys a few times.
  3. 1)Kid from Clinton Co 2)BG all region player 6’5 guard Trevor Dennis 3)6’2 Tyler Martin guard all district South Warren 4) 6’2 Tashon Bibb Warren Central forward 5) BG Daveon Dice all district forward 6) BG 6’4 PG Isaiah Mason all district 7) Greenwood 6’0 Guard jack Roberts all district 8) Greenwood Ben Carol 6’8 Forward all district 9) G. Spurrier 6’4 forward south Warren 10) PG Barber Warren Central
  4. Didn’t know about knee additions. WC will be very good. Like both their returning starters. Adding some EX BG talent won’t hurt. Dre can play for sure.
  5. Warren Central will be good. Glasgow will be good. It’s Bowling Greens district to lose. They return All District Daveon Dice a really good Athlete that plays over the Rim. Defends and hits the glass hard. All Region Trevor Dennis 6’5 pure shooter and a high basketball IQ. One of the best shooters in the state from deep and has a very quick release. All District Soph 6’4 Isaiah Mason His jumper is evolving into a not down shooter.. He’s a quality defender that can guard all 5 positions. Will be asked to play some point. Look for Kolby Grey 6’1 senior to have his coming out party. One of the quickest athletes in the floor. Is a above AVG 3 point shooter. Another quality defender. Jaylan Warlow was the teams Defensive stopper last season. Look for Warlow to still be in the face of the best offensive players in the state. He is a developing offensive player. Fighting for the point guard spot is Soph Conner Cooper a very athletic 5’11 guard who can defend and break defenses down with dribble penetration. Shot is evolving into a reliable option and can beat defenders off the dribble. Had an attacking style of play. Purples will get contributions from 6’4 Dingle , 6’3 Bo Buchanon, 6’4 Drobrocky.
  6. Bowling Green did change up their defense on Potter. They put so to be Georgia Tech middle linebacker on Potter to help keep his offensive rebounding and scoring down. They switched on Potter when he went to the wing. Cousins shooting 19-25 and scoring 48 points was another reason for Potters low scoring
  7. I don’t see the surprise. Bowling Green is a talented BB team and used to winning.
  8. I called at the beginning of the year. BG players have been beating WC every since the 7th grade. I predicted it would be rocky but BG will win the district and be favored to win the Region. BG played a very tough schedule much tougher than WC. I think playing in the King of the Bluegrass helped prepare BG for a good post season run back to State. Remember BG is still 10 players deep with the lost of Tre Jones and Zion Harmon cause both of those kids could still be playing there.
  9. Bowling Green scrimmaged Christian Co 11-19 and blew them out by 20. Bowling Green will be hard to beat they have some players who are ready to fill in those roles. Played Saint X 11-25 beat them by 19. Jarius Key will be in the running for 4th Region player of the year. He is rebounding machine. Can finish with anyone. Bowling Green looks to be a 3 headed scoring monster. Bowling Green has a couple of the regions best shooters in Eli Thurman and Trevor Dennis. Bench is very deep and talented.
  10. Bowling Green beat Fern Creek this Summer and just blew out Christian Co. by 20 and played Saint X at there place with another blow out win 84-65. Top 20 without Bowling Green in it is crazy talk no offense. BG has 3 kids who will fill the stat sheet. Jarius Key will be a dominate force all season. Had 20 today against Saint X. Trevor Dennis put up 22 points. Bowling Green is deep and very quick. Eli Thurman and Trevor Dennis can shoot the basketball with anyone.
  11. 11-18-17 Bowling Green High defeated Christian Co. 78-62 behind Eli Thurman’s 26 points, Jarius Key’s 24 points and Trevor Dennis’s 21 points.
  12. Just watched Bowling Green destroy Christian Co. by 20 points. BG was able to turn Christian Co over and didn’t allow many second shots. J.Key is going to have his coming out party. He will be a dominating force all year. He had some thunderous dunks. He had 24 points and a ton of rebounds. E. Thurman was lights out from 3 point land. Was very physical tonight. Jumper is very smooth he doesn’t force shots but if he gets a good look he will knock it down. He ended the night with 20 points. The other player to put up 20 plus was T. Dennis with 24 points. He shot couple of three from 25 ft and they hit nothing but net. He also made some sweet passes. May have the best outside shot in the region. Freshman I. Mason played with poise scored 10 points and wasn’t bothered by Christian Co pressure liked it bothered some of the other guards and for a long stretch he guarded Christian Co top player who score 30 plus but mason shut him down. BG will have to handle pressure better cause they turned the ball over 18 times at least. BG by middle of the season will be tough to beat.
  13. Warren Central will be a big test they have the best player in our region in S. Potter. Barren Co will be a tough out. Monroe Co. Senior class won the 8th grade regional tournament. I think they may call it something else.
  14. Junior Class doesn’t have a loss undefeated since 8th grade in the region. When they were on the Freshman team they won a big JV tournament at WKU beating BG’s JV in the finals by double digets. I believe there was 20 plus teams in that tournament.
  15. wouldn’t sleep on BG, losing Tre Jones is a tough one but BG has dominated the region since this group was in the 7th Grade. BG is very deep even with the players leaving. I.Mason will be a big help.Hes 6’4 can drain the 3 or go to the rim. J. Key at 6’6 plays above the rim and is a match up problem do to his strength and length and can guard he is poised for a break out year. J.Buser will start point guard 5’10 Heady, good ball handler and people will see he is a very good 3 point shooter. E. Thurman can fill it up, very good passer and at 6’2 he will help on the glass. He is a clutch player avg 12 pts a game before the football players showed up. BG will rely on those 3 seniors a lot. BG has a very talented and Deep junior class. Led by 6’5 T. Dennis and 6’3 Davion Dice. Dennis is a long range bomber who can go to the hole or post up. Dice is a high flyer who can shoot the 3 but is very good in the post up game. Bench is talented and deep. Look for Z Kenner 5’9 and J. Dingle 6’2 both SR’s to provide boost off the bench.Look for Jr’s K Grey 5’7 J.Wardlow 6’1 B. Buchanon 6’3 to be big contributors . BG will be a more running team this year with very good shooters on the wing and will still play hard nosed defense. My pick BG to go back to State but there will be bumps along the way.
  16. Pretty much how I see it. Except that Glasgow will be better some where in the middle of the pack.
