Hatz, don't disagree. However, the difference is I'm not making excuses for Danville's losses during those years. Boyle was the better team. Again, my ORIGINAL point is/was Boyle's next opponents are so bad it might be to their detriment once they arrive in Lexington. I will finish by saying that I hope Boyle does win. I have multiple friends with son/players on the team.

Haha. I take it you don't teach the debate team at Boyle. So using your Boyle Co. logic, a heavyweight is still better than a middleweight even if the middleweight beats the Heavyweight? Huh? Because Danville is 2A, their win doesn't count? Danville has a shared goal to win a State Championship. Not sure how that is part of this friendly debate. So you just laid down and lost to Danville because you were looking ahead to district play? Really? Maybe YOU can work with Jostens, or a good jewelry company, to put a small asterisk beside the 14-1 on your state ring to indicate your lone loss was to a 2A school. Not sure if it registers, but mocking Danville because its 2A, because it has less students and players, makes your loss look worse. Good luck mighty 3A Boyle!

Smith to Bramel "Then how the hell do you think you can block anyone in the Big Ten?" The Danville DL pushed around your OL. Don't believe me? Why did Pardue pass on the goal line then? Because he knew he couldn't run behind your line. You have a lot of excuses. A young team? You have 21 seniors. Danville has 42 players total? As Mr. Wireman points out, Danville coughed it up going in several times. Again, facts aren't your friends. BTW, I don't disagree with you on Danville being down some next year. It's cyclical for certain when you are a small school. Until that time, I will enjoy the playoffs and Danville's 10-7 win over Boyle. You might be a state champion, but you ain't the city/county champion. Period.

As said from the beginning, I hope the weak schedule does not come back to haunt them. That's all. Boyle is peaking and you have your OL playing well after getting smacked around by Danville. Again, I wish you well and feel you have a great team (although runner up in the city/county championship this year ) with a tremendous chance to win the 3A title. Wish we could see a Belfry matchup. That would be fun!

Jerry Perry is a great football mind, especially on defense. Can Garrard trade offensive punches with them? We know their running attack will shorten the game for LexCath, but will it be enough?

Not sure why the LCA vs. Prestonsburg game is not listed here? If Nieves is indeed out for LCA, that means they will be going with essentially their 3rd string QB, a sophomore. Also, it's in the mountains.

Haha. Yeah, E-town has played one good team CAL and lost. The New England Patriots should watch out. All Boyle has to do is go through the motions until Lexington and wait for the last man standing between Corbin, Central and Belfry. (You guys got lucky that Central's coach left and they move to a different side of the bracket)

Being ranked high in 4A this season is like being valedictorian of your GED class. Means absolutely nothing. BTW, I'm not insinuating anything about Boyle. It's clear for anyone to see. They are a terrific team who should, at a minimum, play for the title. However, they have played weak teams other than Danville. My initial point is I hope is does not hurt them once they get to Lexington. Agree?

Sir, I know you have a great affinity for Boyle Co, but facts aren't your friends. Look at Wayne's schedule besides Boyle. Not good (0-11, 4-7, 2-9, 2-9, 3-7, 3-8). Collins is not much better. 4A is just not that great this year and LexCath is flat down. Few would argue otherwise. 8 of 10 Danville opponents are still in the playoffs, including 2 in 6A. Not sure how you can say they've played a weaker schedule?

Hopefully this will provide Boyle with an opportunity to work on some concepts they will need down the road in the semis and/or finals. My concern with Boyle is they really haven't played a tough schedule this season after the Danville loss. I know they cannot control if programs are down (Lex Cath), but it's often hard to improve against bad teams.

I think Danville played without Christian Hill in Danville's regular season matchup vs. Somerset? He can completely change the course of a game. Ask Boyle Co.

There is a lot of noise that Nieves has a torn ACL. Is this confirmed? That kid is a tremendous competitor and seems to be a good kid. Best of luck for a healthy recovery and great future irrespective of the prognosis.
