Brennan hall was also 6/19 this game so no one shot the ball well at all. Harding was just a beast on the glass and NCC couldn’t match up with him on the glass

From the stats Harding didn’t shoot the ball well either he was 6/16 from the field him and Burries were both 37% from the field. When both of those two shoot the ball well this newport team is scary. Also if McGuire can play like he did last night they could make a run.

Newport lost to Holmes like the 5th game of the season. They played terrible in that tournament from what I’ve heard and we will see at the end of the year who does better and see if these rankings change.

That Newport hasn’t really had any losses that you can bring up besides beechwood but one of their starters and big contributors didn’t play. When Newport has everybody playing they are tough to beat and a better team than Boone from top to bottom.

If that’s the case then Newport lost to beechwood because Makhi McGuire didn’t play nothing but two minutes the whole game and that allowed beechwood to double Burries the whole game because they didn’t have another shooter on the floor.

The Boone county team you have ranked third got beat this year by holy cross, beechwood and Newport. So you just brought up a loss in the championship where Newport lost to beechwood but never talked about the fact that Boone county lost to both of those teams. They also got beat by holy cross who Newport pounded twice this season. So I don’t understand what ranks Boone so high when they have one good win over cooper and 9 losses.

That is the same Boone team to lose to cooper without Adam and then win when they had Adam. So how consistent are they really? And Newport also beat this Boone team in a head to head matchup and Boone also loss to beechwood and holy cross. Newport also beat holy cross twice and beechwood once

I definitely don’t expect them to lose by 15 and I believe they have a chance forsure.

I think this will be a hard fought game I’m excited to attend this one.

I wasn’t disrespecting the mustangs by any means. They played a tough game a really tough game all I’m saying is that the wildcats could have played better than they did. Your second leading scorer from last year played against this same Newport team last year and it was the same result. This is the same Newport team from a year ago same exact starting 5 except kids have gotten bigger and stronger. I enjoy watching brossart they run their stuff and they are well coached there was no disrespect intended.

Newport didn’t play well at all but they were entirely more talented than brossart. First game jitters if those two met down the road I think the game would be completely different. Burries with 26 this kid is going to be a match up nightmare.

McGuire finished with 35 last night I was told couldn’t miss.

Newport defeated elder tonight and elder shot the ball from 3 extremely well. Newport was lead by Mekell burries with 32 and Donnie Miller was in the 20’s... Harding played well McGuire couldn’t find his touch tonight. But the sleeper Newport has is sophomore Daeshawn White that kid can play.
