Agree with this 100%. If you have the talent at your school to run the Spread and throw it all over the field and maybe even a QB with enough speed and intelligence to run some RPO’s out of the Spread. That offense is the best offense their is in the game and gives the defense the most fits if properly called and ran but it requires the right personnel to run it and if your at a school where the talent pool is extremely thin you might not have the right personnel to run it so it would depend where you are and what type of athletes you have at the school. A great coach can adjust to his players and put them in the proper system to help them succeed.

This game comes down to 2 factors. 1- Can Ludlow withstand the depth of Beechwood because while no 1A team is extremely deep Beechwood is the deepest I’ve seen they rotate D-Line every couple plays plus only 2 lineman actually play both ways so it helps keep them fresh. 2- Can Blackburn move the ball against a very fast and hungry defense. While Ludlow is 6-0 which is excellent, Beechwood is battled tested against very good teams. As I watched Blackburn against Carroll County this year he is very physical but Beechwood has faced that several times with Corbin’s physical QB and Fann from Lloyd. I just don’t see any scenario where Ludlow can match points with Beechwood. Beechwood- 54 Ludlow- 21

They had a few minor knicks but i believe they are ok. Pulled a few players earlier than expected but Bellevue wasn’t doing much offensively so I think they wanted to get whoever needed it out to make sure the minor knicks didn’t escalate!!!!

Beechwood JV just drove it 54 yards for a Touchdown a 5 yard pass from Chris Layton to Tyler Donahoe!!! 49-0 Beechwood 1:00 left.

Bellevue turnover on downs. Beechwood takes over at their own 45.

42-0 end of 3rd quarter.

Bellevue turn over on downs. Beechwood took over at their own 46 yard line. First play Jake Sherron ran to the 30 yard line but fumbled the ball. Bellevue gets the ball right back.

Bellevue 3 and out. Logan Castleman now at RB and he has got Beechwood all the way to the 8 yard line of Bellevue running hard. After a holding call at the 8, 2 plays later Logan Punched it in from 2 yards out. 42-0 Beechwood .

Beechwood received the kickoff and after a nice return by Jake Moore. Burch hit Mescher for a 42 yard TD pass. 35-0 Beechwood

Halftime 28-0

Bellevue went 3 and out and Beechwood used their timeouts. John Odom returned the punt for a touchdown. 28-0 with 1:09 left till half.

Beechwood turnover on downs. Bellevue keeping everything in front of them and tackling really well.

Bellevue got another but punted again Beechwood takes over at the 50.

Beechwood drove the field but Derry fumbled at Bellevue’s 15 yard line.

Next possession Bellevue got a 1st down but then on a deep pass Mescher intercepted the pass at the Beechwoods 29

3 and out for Bellevue and John Odom returned the punt to the 9 yard line. 2 plays later Logan Castleman ran it in from 5 yards out. 14-0 Tigers in the 2nd quarter

Bellevue next possession they got a first down but punted the next set of downs. Beechwood then drove the length of the field but Burch under threw a receiver and #7 intercepted it.

Bellevue 3 and out on their first possession. Beechwood in 4 plays went 56 yards for a touchdown. Scoring play was a screen pass to Logan Castleman for 48 yard touchdown. 7-0 Tigers

Oh ok I think maybe they could have competed in their district this year!!! I severely enjoyed their team Touchdown celebration they did last year at Beechwood it was quite comical and even our kids were cheering them!!!!! The refs threw a flag but I think they were cracking up as well!!!!

Why is Eminence no longer is a District in 1A? They seem to be having a decent year and will not get to participate in the playoffs makes no sense.
