Ryle’s Frosh starters had 2 drives stop inside the 10 because of the 10 play rule. Highlands had 2 turnovers. Both of which didn’t negatively impact them because they didn’t count them. Not hard to see how Ryle is 3-4 TD’s better. Not knocking Highlands! They’re really good. Ryle was playing w/out their 3 best defensive players and 2 RB’s. I agree with your assessment of the varsity game. Highlands look really good. I’d rank them at 1 or 2 in NKY. Highlands is still my favorite venue to watch a HS game!

Not at all. Highlands Frosh’s line is big and well coached. Probably the strength of their team at this point of the season.

I considered the 2 turnovers as an advantage for Ryle.

Just Frosh. Varsity starting now. I’m taking in consideration the format of the scrimmage. Ryle moved the ball much easier. Had a pick and a fumble recovery that could have lead to TD’s. They’re also missing 4 key players. Just one man’s humble opinion. Highlands has a lot of talent. Well coached. Thankfully, we will get to see them play in regular season. Hopefully, they’re both healthy.

Ryle Frosh starters had 1 TD. Verax to Lee. Their D had an INT and a fumble recovery. Highlands starters had 1 TD and 2 TO’s. Ryle looks like they’re 3-4 TD’s better at this point in the season.

IMO, Highlands is definitely the most underrated team in KY according to these rankings.

I’ve watched Ryle scrimmage Trinity and schedule Indy Cathedral, Cincy Elder, St. X, CovCath, Highlands, one of Beechwood’s best teams and a really good Scott County team over the past few years. If you’re implying they play cupcakes, I’d encourage you to do some more research. I actually was impressed with HC for only having 20 or so kids. They played really hard and had some good talent. I’m sure they got something out of the scrimmage.

From what I saw, HC played Ryle’s JV team. You were quick to accuse them on a message board while bringing up a violation of league rules. To state you just “thought it was odd” seems a little disingenuous.

Ryle’s Frosh were up 5 TD’s to 0 when the starters were pulled. They were playing w/out a couple key players too. Nate Verax threw for 5 TD’s to 4 different receivers. He looked really sharp.

You gotta be the biggest Ryle hater of all time. Falsely accusing their youth teams of practicing early and now being critical of their “scrimmage” schedule. What did they do to you to deserve so much hate?

Hmm..not sure why Union Raider coaches would plan an offseason practice in the middle of Cooper’s district and on a baseball field nonetheless.

Next time snap a picture. I spoke w/ all the coaches and nobody knows anything about this. Not saying it didn’t happened, but organizations can’t stop parents and kids from gathering at parks. Also, Camp Ernst is in Conner’s district. You sure it wasn’t one of their programs?

You should call the football police on them. All joking aside, was it a whole team w/ coaches or a few kids trying out their new gear?

IMO, if you have the #'s to have your own "league" and it's well organized, then I don't see how it couldn't work! While at the Union Raiders, we formed 2 teams when we had the #'s. Played in NKYFL with both. Worked out well too.
