So disappointing the void of baseball threads
I try my best with my 10th Region rankings which most people can agree with. But it is difficult adding information due to lack of coverage.

10th Region Rankings 4/4/16
Because of what sport the school focuses on. For example: Mason County and Harrison County are around the same size. But Mason County is a basketball school and Harrison County is a baseball school.

Austin Crawford recruitment (Bracken County - 2017)
I just cannot see him going Division I. Wish him the best and also hope I am proven wrong.

Brad Carr out at Scott?
Then why isn't there a Class A school winning region every year? Besides the Augusta melting pot of kids from other schools, name the last public class A school to make it to the region finals.

Brad Carr out at Scott?
This might be dumbest thing I've seen. Name the last public Class A school to win the region. Size matters.

Sweet 16 at NKU
To me, it makes so much sense to have it at Memorial Coliseum.
-
Sweet 16 at NKU
The KHSAA should not promote the event, the host community should because of all the money that gets spent there.
-
Sweet 16 at NKU
Even with all that, the All A Region Classic at NKU was bad for everyone besides Bishop Brossart. The Girls State tournament got lucky the host county made a deep run.

Brad Carr out at Scott?
I also am in the minority with Brad Carr on his coaching. Don't get me wrong, he is a good coach, but I don't think he is as great as most say his is. RESPECTFULLY disagreeing. He coached at Scott for 12 years. Nobody has to remind me of the helacious district and region he's in, BUT: He has 4 districts, 2 region finals, and ZERO regions. At a school that size, and being there for more than a decade, that should be a goal they should have reached.

You actually bring up a good point. Why has someone done this Carr but not to Whitaker? Does the Harrison County School District have a backbone?
-
Open Job: Bishop Brossart
That program will take 5-7 years to build up. Brossart will not be as long and always have people going from Campbell to Brossart.

Should KHSAA up the # of games played per season?
The game's shouldn't start later because of the state tournament, but because of the unpredictable weather. And as stated above. The fact of going from the gym to the field.

Brad Carr out at Scott?
There is a difference between cussing and cussing at someone/name calling which is what Carr was doing. Schools even have different punishments for kids if they just cuss, and cuss directly at someone in a threatening way. Do I think Brad Carr should have got fired? No. But the school should have suspended him for a game or two and said you need to not do that kind of stuff or leave. I'm not saying change his coaching style, I am saying change some of the words he chooses to call kids.

Do you think Brad Carr yells at his kids the same way he yells at his players? NO. So why does it make it okay for him to say those terms to kids that aren't even his? Let me restate from previous posts: I am ok with cussing and yelling. Not personal attacks on teenagers.

Yes, very. If someone called your kids a bunch of mother liking cats which is crossing the line IMO. Cussing, yelling, screaming, chewing out I do not care at all. If the Kenton County School District does not punish him it makes them look like they condone this type of behavior from a coach who is supposed to be a role model.

I know a lot of good basketball/baseball/football coaches that rarely cuss and do not chew kids out to the extent Brad Carr does.

Agree.

I don't think a coach should be fired for cussing. But the terms he used should result in a punishment from the administration. Whether that means he is suspended for a game or fired. There is absolutely no chance at defending what he said.

I'm okay with the yelling and chewing kids out and spitting them back on to the floor, as long as it is not personal. I know Brad means nothing personal by anything he says and loves his kids to death. But from what I've heard he said, it is inexcusable and there is no defense for it. I don't know if he should have been fired, but there definitely should have been some consequences.

Brad Carr out at Scott?
I think this recording took place during the game between SK and Scott which I attended. I noticed that Trame was not playing so I assumed he was hurt, maybe that is when the recording took place. And it was not released til now so Carr could not punish him.

I think what they mean that the fight was not handled right was because they did not try to break it up. I feel if Brad Carr was there he'd body slam someone.
