Paris has one. It is only a couple of years old.

Bourbon Co. was not given any favors in their district. Boyle, LexCath, and Anderson Co. Looking at the KHSSA website, they are the smallest 4A school. It's going to be a tough 4 years.

Great Crossing is the new High School in Scott County. It opens Aug 2019. Scott Co. and Great Crossing will be 5a schools.

There are 32 teams 1A teams. In the future, there will be Sayre added to the mix and they are in the planning stages for another Madison Co High School which will begin as a 1a school.

At Holy Cross, Paris lost the starting center, rb, and 2 wr in the first half. Nicholas Co. has played Paris tough since the 80s. According to BGP Preseason, Paris was picked 3rd or 4th in the district, but that's none of my business.

This will be a tight game. If you look at the both senior classes, this year is what both have been striving for. They have nearly same wins and losses. The it will come down to TOs and penalties. Paris in a tight one 28-24.

They didn't have their starting QB back from injury until game 4. Paris plays good solid defense. Their last two games were both top 10 1a schools. They still only give up 8.5 points a game.

I am torn. You can't simulate game speed even if it's against a bad team. This will make 2 games in a month because of how the open date landed this year. On the plus side, all the the little dings and hurts get better. Lots of film on Fairview, Nicholas and Paintsville. It could give the Hounds some time to put in new wrinkles that no one has seen from them. Maybe the chip on the shoulder gets bigger since no one is really giving them a shot at BG.

So Paris gets a bye? Does it help or hurt the Hounds?

What has happened to Phelps?

Dumb question...Who does Paris have in the 1st round of playoffs? I haven't seen anything else about Phelps since that thread last week about them not in any of the KHSSA standings.

Frankfort was a top 10 team at the time before they were crushed with injury. Nicholas was a rivalry game, and the Jackets have gotten better every week. Paris will be playing the best 2 teams on the schedule the last 2 games of the regular season which will get the Hounds ready for the playoffs. District 5 has the unenviable task of going through the Super District 6. So who ever wins Friday gets a slightly easier road to Bowling Green.

Paris had their wakeup call last week. Paris by 14.

Maggard was injured in the spring and finally was cleared. Garrard is back to running back. Kind of the thunder to James Clark's lighting.

Koebe Garrard isn't the starting QB for Paris now. Aaron Maggard took it back over after the 3rd game.
