Unlikely scenario that John would be in the 5A state semifinals after having to beat Grayson County to even get into the playoffs. Also consider that a majority of the team is underclassmen, and the next few years should be something special at John Hardin.

I truly am satisfied that Meade and Central were able to overcome the Lexington 6A school bias of strength of schedule and quality wins vs my perspective of importance of defense in setting the aggressive tone of the game. I respect the winning culture that Mofield has established at Meade County and see that culture being established at Central.

Ok, ed, when you come on down to the game and your sitting on the Meade County side, do the math and let me know the size of the crowd.

The IT factor would be; having the ability to go from the wing-T offense to spread offense and drive 80 yards in 1:39, completing a 30 yard pass after being flushed out of the pocket to a teammate you have played football with since 6th grade, and who happen to be the 2 best players on the team, for the win against Bryan Station.

I was defending Meade County from the Lexington area 6A haters who dont understand the iimportance of a strong defense. In reference to Meades schedule, I was stating facts, also the comment about Meade County special teams comes from a co-worker who lives in Brandenburg and attends their games. Central has the IT factor, a group of kids that grew up playing football together, a coach who had brought a toughness to the team, not only on defense, and an offense that can go from the wing T to the spread offense and be comfortable in both schemes.

REALLY, do the math on Friday, lets see who packs the house, this is our house

28-12 Central Hardin, Meade County is horrible at the kicking game and special teams, Central has more playmakers on offense and can match Meade Countys defense plus home field and huge crowd = Victory for Central Hardin.

Wow, what a surprise, MEAN GREEN MACHINE picks Meade County. Your gonna need a little more O on Friday. I do know one thing about this game, Central will have a huge crowd. Meade County is healthy, Central is finally healthy and hungry for respect. Play ball.

Meade County also lost to Male 17-0 during the season

Cant imagine a better matchup in the quarterfinals than Meade at Central, World War III.

Don't even recognize John from earlier in the year. John has the offense clicking again and the young defense will only get better each game, incredible kicker that could make a difference in upcoming games

The dominance of Central/ Meade prove too much for Bryan Station/ Scott County, Truly a game for the ages at Central Hardin, way to go Bruins and Meade County, let World War III Begin next Friday at Central.

Truly an amazing game, Central has IT, whatever IT is, that gives them the advantage in big games, Kory Krupinski and Zach Helton are one of the best QB receiver tandems in the state. Bryan Station was big and quick but central was able to control the clock and keep it low scoring and made enough stops on Defense to pull this one out. Truly one of the top 3 games I have seen in High school football.

Central has most players back now for the first time all year, also, since the playoffs started just last week, how has Meade already played #7 and #2 teams in 6A in the playoffs? Dazed and confused in Meade County.

I forgot, the 2 teams that Meade County played with winning records beat them

The fact that you gave your Current record of 9-2 doesnt mean much. At one point, the first 4 teams Meade County played had a combined record of 1-24, it did get much better as the final 2 teams Meade played only had a combination of 3 wins. In fact Meade County only played 2 teams out of 10 during the regular season with winning records, stunningly bad competition, average offense that has run up the scores against the likes of Breckinridge County 1 win, Muhlenburg County 4 wins, North Bullitt 1 win, a North Hardin,1 win, Jeffersontown 1 win

John will live and die in these playoffs according to how well their defense plays. John is very young but has speed in the key positions and must bring the energy from last week to Grayson County. Go Bulldogs

Scott County should win this game. Meade County has a very average, at best offense and rely on their defense. Any shootout would favor Scott County. Meade needs to keep the score in the teens and lower 20s to have a chance.

Central Hardin has a stout defense against the run, although Bryan Station is a passing offense, you still have to establish some ground game. If Central can stuff the run and force Bryan Station to rely on the pass, they can bring a pass rush and pull the DBs back. To win, Central must rush the ball effectively and keep it low scoring by winning the time of possession. Central is great at creating turnovers and may need a few in this one.

I never said it was going to be easy, I am sure it will be a battle but I like Centrals chances playing at home, I would also like to beat my drum some more about the importance of a strong defense in the playoffs.
