  1. Wow, pretty confident. I think Central is still stinging from the loss to Boyle County. Hopefully they can rebound, running game and defense are solid, need to improve in the passing game and special teams play.
  2. The problem is that this isnt the first incident this year that has caused the team to lose players for part of a game or have a player suspended. Last year there were similar incidents with John that caused disruption. When is enough, enough?
  3. In November, none of this matters, its how you progress and improve throughout the season that determines your fate in the playoffs and a date in Bowling Green in December
  4. I"m sorry, I wasn't aware I had to apologize and bow down to almighty Boyle County. I have accepted defeat, wish Boyle County continued success throughout the season, and moved on. It is a long season and 1 game does not define a season or team. In response to your comment about courage, I spent 20 years in the Army in the Combat Arms field as a 19K, M1A1 Armor Crewman. I have seen and lived true courage, don't mistake a football game with true courage in the face of adversity, when you are part of a team, depending on one another for survival.
  5. John Hardin will: Win: Warren Central, PRP Lose: North and Central Hardin.
  6. I think it is more an indictment on how the John Hardin coaches have allowed this program to spiral out of control. John Hardin is undisciplined, turns the ball over at an alarming rate ,is penalty prone at the most inopportuune times, have created an atmosphere where players fear no-one and break rules without regard for the consequences. That is my rant on John Hardin. I have supported them for many years, but this team attitude is getting old.
  7. North Hardin looked impressive on offense Saturday night with speed, speed and more speed with tall receivers. Defensive line is undersized and gives up yards. North can outscore John in this one North Hardin 38 John Hardin 21
  8. Thanks, this schedule is brutal, Boyle, Paducah Tilghman, Bullitt East, South Warren, John Hardin, Bowling Green, Collins, Meade, North Hardin, Woodford County, we will be lucky to come out of this with only 2 losses.
  9. If that is the case, that would play right into Central Hardin's hand, strength of our team is the defensive front, just ask Boyle County
  10. Tough matchup for Central in week 1 against Boyle County. Tough run defense vs Wing T running game and Qb playing in his 1st varsity game, QB play and special teams were the difference last week. Again this week, Central Hardin must establish a run game and shore up special teams in order to come away with a win. Not sure if Paducah Tilghman defense is as tough as Boyle County. Any intel on Paducah Tilghman on the defensive side of the ball?
  11. Keys to the season: 1. Replacing QB Koree Krupinski, who threw for 1,001 yards and 12 touchdowns last season. His replacement, junior Reece Iler, while inexperienced, has a stout rushing attack behind him, relieving the pressure to throw the ball downfield on 3rd and long situations. 2. Settling on two players for the wing spot with Darious Barbour, Gavin Krupinski, Austin Pence, Aaron Chandler and Trae Talley to pick from. Tim Mattingly has a handful of talented offensive lineman battling for a starting position including Leighton Conners, Tanner Walters, and Zach Friedericks. 3. Seniors Alex Bibb, Dalton Parr, Seth Bryan, Gavin Krupinski and Aaron Chandler will look to lead a talented veteran defense, for the defensive minded Tim Mattingly. 4. Taking the most difficult schedule in Central Hardin History, one game at a time. Top statistical returnee: FB Xavier Arnette, 6'1" 215, 1,177 yard rushing, 19 touchdowns.
  12. North Hardin has plenty of weapons on the offensive side of the ball, but their success will depend on how quickly the inexperienced line develops. The Trojans have three receivers in Will Alexander, James Pitre, and Terriq Miles, who are 6'2" or taller. This trio is going to present a number of challenges for opposing secondaries. Key returning players include RB Tavin Graves ( 240 carries 1281 yards and 13 touchdowns, and 627 yards recieving), last season, QB Isaiah Bankhead( 2,586 yard passing and 22 touchdowns), last season. The Trojans are switching from a 4-4 defense to a 3-5 this season in the hopes of getting more athletes on the field. The Trojans ended the season last year by beating John Hardin and losing to Meade County 27-25, and have high hopes for this season. I am not sure Mercer County has the athletes to keep up with North in this one
  13. I will have to admit, the unknown of a new starting QB, has me a bit nervous going into the first game of the season. At this point, there is no doubt that those John teams were more talented. As the season progresses I think you will see a Central team that improves each week and gives Bowling Green a run for their money. If you look at Centrals schedule, It has to be one of the most difficult in the state regardless of classification. Boyle County Paducah Tilghman Bullitt East, South Warren Collins Bowling Green John Hardin North Hardin Meade County Woodford County
  14. I dont know if other teams beat Boyle County running the football, I do know my Hardin County teams. The premise was that NOBODY can beat Boyle County being one dimensional IE (wing T offense), I can guarantee you that John had more running yards than passing based on Coach Browns philosopy on how to run the wing T. I cannot guarantee a victory, but I can base my opinions on being around this program this summer that they are on a journey to play in December and have the right coaches and players to make a good run. Being in class 6A, you eventually have to go through the big 3, Trinity, Male or X and that is a tall order. I think i am realistic about what this team can achieve and can see at least 1 loss during the regular season and its not this weekend (Bowling Green).
  15. He is out for the first game, but will be eligible starting game number two. Starting on defense.
  16. I will be easy to spot at the game, the one with the air horns. Love to talk football and would love to meet with some Boyle County fans to discuss this game.
  17. Just responding to inaccurate posts (Cant remember the last time Boyle lost to a running team), not that long ago that John took them to the woodshed in consecutive years (2011-12)
  18. The bulldogs return plenty of firepower on offense. Back are senior QB Shay Stone, junior fullback Antonio Ayers, junior halfbacks Robert Shorter and Kory Cleveland. Sophomore halfbacks Tyler Reinheimer, and Steven Livers add to an explosive backfield. Five keys to the season: 1. Ball Security. The Bulldogs turned the ball over with regularity last season with fumbles being the main problem. Coach Lewis did a breakdown and turnovers led to more than 90 points for their opponents. Eliminating turnovers could be the difference between being good or great. 2. Spreading the Wealth. With the plethora of options in the offensive backfield, coming up with the right rotation of halfback and fullbacks based on game situations and the strengths of each back could be key this season. 3. Avoiding Injuries. Last season, both starting halfbacks went down with ACL injuries as did tackle Dakota Pritchard. Those injuries caused players to miss more than 30 games. 4. Developing Receiving Options. The problem, is that the Bulldogs only return 2 players, halfbacks, who caught passes last season. Chad Lewis thinks that there is talent at wide-out this year but doesn't know who might emerge to replace the deep play threat of wide receiver C.J. Hill. 5. Putting the D Back in Defense. The Bulldogs could have one of their biggest defensive fronts. Lewis has depth at tackle with as many as six players rotating in, to go along with stalwart ends Thomas Rogers and Trevan Wright. This Could be a typical run-stuffing John Hardin defense
  19. West Hardin defense finally showed up, now we need to get the offense there.
  20. Let me refresh your memory on the last running team to beat Boyle County. John Hardin 2011 28-0, John Hardin 2012 34-14, guess what type of offense John runs? You guessed it, the Wing T
