Polar bear if bracken has anything returning next year they should put one on knott. Knott will take a huge step back next season. They will be decent but nothing special.

Cordia controlled the game pretty much the whole game. They had a 14 point lead late in the fourth and hazard started fouling and cordia missed a bunch of free throws hazard cuts it to 1 with about 3 seconds left.hazard's hunter hardy missed a 30 footer at the buzzer for the win.

I think knott co really made eastern ky look like hicks. They treated this like a season game. First off they gave trinity $5000.00 to come down there and play. They also had their pep band going, cheerleaders, radio and tv broadcast and played the national anthem before the game started. I think trinity did not look at it the same way. On a neutral floor trinity wins 15-20 points.. Knott has the same problem they have had the last 3 years they have no point guard. When they play a team that decides to guard justice and apply pressure to the ball knott will have problems. They have a good team I am just not sure they are 3rd in the state. I think perry this year will give them problems.

Guys I will tell you what kind of commishner we have and this is nearly a direct quote from the hearing Cordia's lawyer was questioning Julian Tackett Julian stated " I have been at this agency for 31 years I will do what I want to do" Cordia's lawyer then says so all these by laws and rule book you have don't mean anything and he quoted again "I told you I will do what I want to do". Anybody that thinks cordia could have got a fair deal before the B.O.C. Is disillusional. Even Cordia's lawyer said before the hearing they were a rubber stamp for Julian Tackett. In the B.O.C. Ruling session he was sitting there amount them telling them what to do. All this investigation and findings are a complete joke it is just like a Salem witch trial they have all the judge and they have all the wittiness and everything is trimmed to fit them.

That B.O.C. Is a complete joke it is a rubber stamp for the commishner and anybody that doesn't think so is out of touch with reality. They reinstated cordia because they were scared. I don't know for sure I think they will take it to court because several violations they found them guilty of they do not even have by laws against. That is why they will win in court.

FYI cats 1950 cunningham's mother was unemployed for 3 years and needed a job. She got a job at Hazard Community College. It was a temporary federal grant type job. It lasted only 8 months. The job ended at the end of April. When the job ended she had no means to pay her rent and moved back to Lexington. They had a legitimate reason to leave. On the other hand the Toomer kid from perry co moved back to Lexington a couple of weeks after they were eliminated from tournament play. No one says a word about that. The 7'0" kid from Scott co moved back to North Carolina after they were eliminated from the tournament. No one mentions that. Hell the Scott co kid moved here with his "mentor"to get some better exposure. That is not my words that is his words in the Lexington hearld last summer before he ever played a game. That smells fishy to me,but that is just one of the big boys that it's program just sells itself. What a joke. LOL.

Guys I can tell you it is far from a slam dunk. This whole investigation the khsaa has put together is a joke and if people don't stand up and fight them you have no recourse. I heave read just about every document involving this case and it is full of holes. On the surface it looks like the worst violations since the Chicago black sox. Here is one example: coach Larry Williams moved Chris Hudson from Texas to Kentucky at no cost to him or his family. What is conviently omitted is that at the time Larry Williams moved he was not a coach, he was not affiliated with the school in any way just a parent. He also came here with his 2 sons that was not mentioned and he was the legal court appointed guardian of Chris. All of these facts were not mentioned in their findings. This is just one example there are many more like this. All of the cordia kids are still there and yes so is rod Rhodes. I have heard all of these kids say if they don't play at cordia this year they won't play at all they like it there and do not plan to leave. Numerous schools have attempted to recruit them away with all sorts of promises but they are content where they are. Tuesday is going to be interesting they may not win but they will take it as far as possible.

All three of the foreign kids did come back but they will not be elidigible. They did sit out last year but due to the communist KHSAA rule making process, after the cordia Canadian kids came in and played the KHSAA changed their rules it will now be nearly impossible for a foreign kid to play basketball in Kentucky. Reasons like this is why Kentucky never has top level talent in the country. The KHSAA tries to micro manage too much. I am by no means a hazard fan but these kids sat out all last year they should be allowed to play. I heard from al holland and he said the KHSAA was not going to allow them to play. They will be able to play until sometime in December then they are done. This season is going to be a long year for the dogs I would say they will be lucky to win 10 games but looking at their schedule they should surpass that. They will easily be the worst team in the district. It will be a success if they make it to the region this year.

That is an excellent point joker. I read billy hicks comment where he said he doesn't recruit their program sells itself. I was just thinking cordia has the same argument. I know cordia does not have the tradition that Scott co does but in the city Rod Rhodes is still a big name. His is the kid from the streets that was the #2 rated player in the country coming out of high school, a McDonald's all American,major D1 college player and a first round NBA draft pick. Not to mention being an assistant D1 college coach. That is a good reason for kids to want to play for you. I heard a lot of people talk about how Rhodes recruited Cunningham. Cunningham recruited cordia. Rhodes was in California when cordia played in the kba that summer. Cordia was approached by cunningham and 2 other Henry clay players parents. The cordia personnel gave them the number and contact information of the approximate school personel. Cunningham ended up at cordia the other two did not. Since Rhodes has been at cordia 3 seasons. There has been 5 kids that have attended cordia that has signed D1 scholarships. That recruites on it's own. BTW this was Cordia's argument against the khsaa the last couple of years in court. The judge agreed that kids would want to come play for a big name. How many other schools can list a coach with his resume. Not many I would say.

No hell bird that is not what I said. Rod Rhodes only drove the boy to get the clothes he did not pay for them. The clothes were purchased for him through the lotts creek community school. It has money allocated for such things. This service "readily available to every kid in the school" therefore there is no violation. There is mitigating factors that come into play here that the schools legal defense believes a credible judge will see through. FYI the lotts creek community has millions of dollars in assets. They are a non profit orgiznation that operates off donations. That is not to mention Alice whitakers money her pockets are deep. Don't think for a minute they don't have money.

Man I really hope you don't believe that. There is a reason he made that statement. He is mad that cordia embarrassed him the past 2 years and he had to make these reducliously harsh penalties look justified. What make the cordia supporters mad about these allegations is they know the khsaa has stretched and bent these charged into something they want them to be. For example the charge of providing clothing for the players. The player in question is a kid that was enrolled at cordia for 3 years before rod Rhodes came to cordia he is from vicco. The kids mother is dead and his father is not involved in his life. When school started he missed about 3 weeks Rhodes went to him asking why he was not in school he said I don't have any school clothes I was going to wait for about a month until everyone else close are used and maybe no one will notice mine are not new. Rhodes callers Alice Whitaker and whith money through a fund she has for such things Rhodes takes him to Lexington to buy him some school clothes. The khsaa interviewed the kid in question and he told them that is was not to influence him to play ball that coach Rhodes just did this out of kindness, but they did not put that in their findings instead they use a perry co central assistant coach (whom was fired from cordia) statement stating that Rhodes took him to Lexington to buy him clothes. So you see what I am saying everything is not as it seems.

Guys I know cordia has got beaten up by people all over the state. The reason I came over to this board is because the bluegrass rivals board is a complete joke. It is nothing more than trash talking. It should be called mountain rivals because everyone on there is from either the 13,14 or15th region. This board I feel has more civil debates. The people in the lotts creek community really genuine care about those kids and they are making a difference in their lives. Cordia sits in a spot that is geographically land locked. Ther is only about a 4 mile stretch that is in knott co. The majority of their students come from perry co or out of the district it always has. It was never a problem in the lat 1980's early 1990's when almost the whole team was made up of MC Naper or knott co kids. All I am saying is keep,an open mind in this thing. These allegations are not as bad as they seem. The khsaa has listed numerous offenses multiple times and it looks like there is more there than there really is. Most are allegations of practicing inelidigible players based on the testimony of a player that got mad and transferred due to lack of playing time. They even have a couple of violations listed before rod Rhodes even came to cordia( when Denny fugate was coach) based on the testimony of a perry central assistant coach that coached at cordia and was relieved of duty. All I am asking is just wait until ther is a trial until you make a judgement. This is still America you are innocent until proven guilty.

Alice Whitaker really other than owning the building and grounds has nothing much to do with the school. She is an active supporter. The knott co board pays the teachers. The lotts creek community school(Alice Whitaker) I think pays 2 teachers and she has the say so on the hiring and firing of those individuals. Rod Rhodes is hired through the LCCS. Alice Whitaker has about 8 or 9 people on the payroll counting other staff at the school that includes wellness program director and after school programs. Cordia is really unique I have never seen another school like it sorta falls in between public and private. If there is such a thing. It is hard to understand I know,hell I am not sure I really understand the whole thing and I was the first kindergarten class they ever had there and went k-12.

You are correct the school building, the gym and all the property is not owned by the knott co board of education. The buildings and property are owned by the lotts creek community school. The school building is leased to the knott co board from 0700-1700 hours daily. Past those times it is owned by the lotts creek community school. Alice Whitaker is the niece of Alice slone the founding member of the school in 1933. She was sent there by Alice Lloyd to open the school. Just a interesting note she went to Cleveland to college and stayed with the niece of Susan B. Anthony. Just a fun fact.

I guess he has a fake passport, fake Mali I D and a fake birth certificate. 2nd correction he is not a foreign exchange he has political asylum. That gives him the same rights and privileges as a U S citizen. He can stay in this country forever and never have to return. He may be 30 years old for all anybody knows but what you go by is the documents he has and all those are consistant in saying he is 14 will be 15. He was taken to the dentist last fall. Cksports fan I am saying oumar keta's Mali I'd,his passport, his I 20, and his offical birth certificate says this kids birthday is 12-22-1999. I say other sites that had him listed as a freshman last year. That was wrong also. All I am saying is oumar keta is not 19 years old. I can go into detail about where this got started but I won't on this board. If you talk to oumar he will tell you he is 14 years old. If you have ever been around him you could tell he is not 19. Maybe my other post was taken wrong. I should have said the only concrete proof they have other than hear say evidence is the coach coaching without completing his medical symposium. Cordia has not done any thing any different than any other school has done. Thes chatohlic schools can take kids from all over and it is not considered illegal come on man all they are doing is cheating the system by using a loop hole. First off cordia has not done anything. The lotts creek community school(a non profit organization that is affiliated with the school. They are the last of 100 settlement schools still in operation. They have many community based functions. The treatment these players receive is readily available to all cordia students. Did you know any cordia student that graduates receives a scholarship to go to college. It is evaluated on a need be basis any where from $1500 to $5000 dollars per year. That system has been in place for at least 30 years. I graduated there in 1989 and I got money every semester I was in college. They provide clothing and furniture as needed to every student and their families and even in certain cases some people gets their electric bills paid in emergency cases. Cordia student have been staying in housing owned by the lotts creek community school since the 1950's and no not just athletes stay there. It is a really unique place that most people don't know anything about. The lotts creek community school a totally independent third party is what the khsaa is having a hard time separating the two. The lccs has been providing services for the school and the community for many years. Now all of a sudden that some of the kids are good ball players it is a problem. In years past when the kids couldn't play a lick it was not a issue.

P.S. frimprom and Lucien were in no way connected to the 22 foot academy in breathitt co. Emmanual owootoah and Felix were life long friends since 5 years old that's how he ended up here. Hudson was a legal move here. Him moving to hazard was the major illegal move. Hazard paid for his mother to come up here giving her a fake job and a apartment long enough to get him eligible and back to Texas she goes. There is also documentation and proof that Chris Hudson has stated he went to hazard because they promised him a car. That is the real story behind Hudson. I can tell you he met with the hazard coach at the campground at Carr fork lake while he was still enrolled at cordia to seal the deal. Now you tell me who is the big violator. I know hazard and perry are really uneasy in the wake of all this cordia mess.

Cksports fan you need to get your story straight before you get on here and spout these things. First the paying to move players was not anyone from miss. Or N.J. It was for moving Chris Hudson from Texas to Kentucky.they at claiming he moved here with assistant coach Larry willams at no cost to him or his family. Larry willams was his court appointed guardian in Texas before he came here. Larry Williams was not even affiliated with cordia until he came to ky. He was not a coach at the time he moved. As far a keta is concerned the birthday on his passport is 12-22-1999. That is total bull about him being 19. He has gone through extensive screening process in his political refugee hearings. They don't just make that stuff up. I have seen his passport and Mali I'd. All this started because certain people are p.o. Because oumar would not go to school where they wanted him to. I know you won't believe this but oumar gets dozens of texts daily trying to bribe him into changing schools. One local school offered him 20,000 dollars if he would enroll and go all 4 years. He is offered money weekly by other 14th region schools. And we have texts to prove it. I can get deep into this but it is late and I am tired. I will say this cordia is guilty of some of the Minor violations(ex: one coach coaching without taking his safety class) he has since been fired,but the rest of this investigation is totally one sided. It is all hear say and they have ruled against cordia and sanctioned them without even giving them a chance at due process. There is no due process in the khsaa. The khsaa is a joke. They have taken the word of 4 individuals (2 former players and 2 former coaches) all who left on bad terms and took their word as gold. When I know for a fact they interviewed at least 6 other people that directly refuted the other 4 statements and that was not included in the investigation. That will all come out in the wash. This whole thing is not what it seems. The khsaa is mad because cordia made them look like a fool in court the last 2 years and they wanted to try to embarrass cordia by jumping the gun and issuing a statement. I may be wrong but I think cordia gets a lot of these hear say allegations overturned in court. They will have some up held but none serious enough to warrant these reduclious penalties they have incurred on them.

I will be honest cordia junior Lu Lu chisom was absent from the list also he as a sophomore and is receiving interest from Seaton hall and Miami fl. There are a couple of other sights have him ranked in the top 15 in his class in the state and he is no where to be seen. I did not want to bring it up originally because i didn't want to look like a complete homer. There are also some other kids on there that I have seen play last year and they do not need to be on that list. I won't call out any kids because they are not at fault but there are a lot on this list that is a joke.

I see some errors in his list. I thought the long kid went back to N.C and oumar keta is not a sophomore he is a freshman.

Austin Combs was number 20 at Cordia I have no clue what number he will be Knott.

No he has not enrolled yet but if every thing goes well he should be here by the fall with all that's going on in his country and all.

Cahall at this point hall is probably better but hall will be a senior and 18 years old keta will be a freshman and is 14 years old. Give keta 4 years and see how good he is. Western Kentucky already offered him last fall as a 8 th grader. Keta has NBA potential I think he could be the best player ever to come out of the 14th region. When he came here last year he was measured and he was 6' 10" and a half. I saw him this past weekend at the school and he has grown I think he is probably 7'0" now and put on some nice muscle mass. I think people will see a different oumar this season. On a side note it is in the works for his brother to come to school here his brother is 12 years old and is 7'1". He has only played soccer but I think he is young enough that he can be taught.

Tere are several videos of him on you tube there is one clip where he won the final season game with about a 25 foot shot and about a complete highlight against R W combs as a 7 th grader he was un real. He only played about 3 games as a 8th grader. He cut his foot really bad on some glass and was non weight bearing for 8 weeks. That really hurt him he would have played a lot last season. He played a lot of minutes as a 7th grader. He is fearless and has a really tough mindset he wants the ball at crunch time. He is an excellent 3 point shooter and ball handler. His size hurts him he is only about 5'5" if he grows he will be a major d1 prospect. His brother graduated from cordia also he did not play much but his brother is about 6'0". I actually heard a guy that works for the newspaper in hindman and this guy has coached and watched a lot of basketball he is a knott co central fan say that marquis is the second best player he has ever seen play in person in his life the first being OJ mayo. The kid is that good. Where ever he plays at be it at cordia or NYC or Texas you will hear from him someday.
