Yes, really! This year, he had 3 solo tackles and 1 assisted tackle against Dixie and the same vs Ryle. Last year is ancient history and YOU don't allow discussions about that.

COVINGTON CATHOLIC (7-4) vs. JOHNSON CENTRAL (11-0) Class 4A Playoffs WHEN/WHERE: 7:30 p.m. Friday at Johnson Central High School, Paintsville. WHAT TO WATCH: CovCath beat Greenup County, 39-8, in the first round, while Johnson Central hammered Harrison County 67-14. The Colonels have rolled over the Golden Eagles the last two years in the second round of the playoffs (42-14 in 2013 and 45-15 in '12). Johnson Central's record is impressive and the Golden Eagles are always well coached, but it's tough to tell how talented they are because of the schedule they play. Acclimating to the speed and physicality of the Colonels has been a problem the last few years for them. They always have a handful of talented rushers and run a disciplined system that requires toughness at the line of scrimmage on the defensive side to stop. WHAT TO WATCH: Highlands breezed past Boyd County 44-7 in the first round, and Ashland Blazer had no trouble defeating Holmes, 49-14. Last year the Bluebirds beat the Tomcats, 56-6 in the second round of the postseason. This year's matchup shouldn't be much different. Ashland Blazer has a run-heavy offense that relies on the backfield trio of Quenton Baker (1,480 yards, 18 TDs), Jake Long (882 yards, 9 TDs) and quarterback Hunter Prince (439 rushing yards, and 5 TDs). Basically, the independents are city schools which are independent of the school system for the county in which they lay. Over the last 10-20 years, a lot of city schools have closed with their students going to a new mega blamo consolidated county school or two.
