I now tally at least 10 maybe 11 teams with an almost equal chance of playing in Rupp Arena in 2016. This is shaping up to be the most interesting season of my lifetime and possibly in history, great time to be alive in the Bluegrass.

Tack meet between Pig and Crawford, benches came up big for both teams, close all the way, largest mason lead in the first 3 quarters was 6, largest bracken lead was 3, 8 lead changes and 3 ties I believe. Mason had and 8 point lead in the 4th. Pig turned it over, Lofton fouled Crawford and then got a technical, Crawford split 2-4 because he was gassed, but he scored on the next play, Bracken got a stop and then Crawford cut it to 1. Then Mason baseballed down the floor to Isahia Garrison, who'd had been quite all night, but connected to put the Royals up by 3, next possession Pig stole the ball and hit a layup at the buzzer.

Turns out I was too, Royals stayed tough in a hostile environment and closed it out, even after that technical their team leaders stepped up and took care of buisness, but like I said no losers here tonight, just fantastic 10th Region ball.

My god what a game, one of the best one on one matchup I've ever seen. Garrison had kind of a bad game but he hit the shot that mattered. Hamilton fouling out in the 4th hurt. Lofton almost blew that one for Mason. Guarantee Austin Crawford has nothing left in the tank after that one. And Pig? Well what can I say but DAMN. Excellent game all around, no losers tonight, extremely proud of every player on the floor tonight, way to represent the 39th fellas, let everyone know who's the best district in the 10th. There's so much wrong here I'm not sure where to start. So Augusta and Montgomery play at a light jog? Hinson/Crawford have never beaten a run and gun team? You honestly believe that Chris O'hern, a state champion coach, was intimidated by Jason Hinson, who at the time had a grand total of 2 winning seasons, when he never seemed to be intimidated by Mike Reitz, Scott Humpheries, Mike Code, Mark Starns, or Billy freaking Hicks? I'm not sure which games you were watching, but when I saw Mason play their final game of the past 3 seasons they lost for the exact opposite reason, they played too fast, hacked up a bunch of dumb shots, and threw the ball away taking stupid chances when they should've slowed down and worked it inside to their bigs. I'm not defending my prediction here, you may be right Mason may well win in a jog, but so may Bracken. The reasoning behind your definition of "reality" is pretty flawed?

Right now? Probably not. By the end of their careers? Definitely. Crawford's a stud and one the best pure scorers of all time. But I see Allen turning into a 4 maybe 5 star recruit.

I gotta agree with Rick Grimes, the Scott win was impressive but it came in the strangest of fashions and the Royals were significantly less than dominant. Bracket gave two of the best teams in the region all they had but came up just short. The other wins for both are next to meaningless and there's absolutely nothing on record so far to suggest a clear advantage for either side. So let's stop all the thumb measuring and just get ready for a great game of basketball.

Impressive wildcats. I cannot wait until Allen's a senior, that kid's gonna be out of this world. Would be very disappointed if I wore black and orange, this was a game A-Town really needed to win imo. Fear and Loathing in Augusta.

I feel like when we squabble over our various lists on here the smalls schools can sometimes be overlooked. So I thought I'd do one exclusively for the Class A. Looking for the top 5-10 Class A star's from your neck of the woods. Only going back to the start of the Class A in 1990, players from before don't count regardless of school size. Also while not entirely based on this, strong consideration should be given to how the performed in the actuall class A tournament. Have at it BGPers. My 10th region top 10. 1. True enough, but I'd say the responsibility for that decision falls on Coach Biggs or Mr. O'Hern. If he wants to play and nobody stops him I can't fault him go getting out there and giving his all. This young man obviously LOVES the game of basketball, and that's something you can't teach. Very proud to share a city with Pig Williams this week. Congrats young fella.

Panthers by around 10. This is an experienced and hot shooting Augusta team. Allen's still got some growing up to do, it's easy to forget he's only a freshman. I'd say the intense crowd in that little gym combined with having 3-4 lights out shooters in his face will be enough to slow the big fella down and see the hometown squad come out on top. Fear and Loathing in Augusta.

Didn't mean to question they're ability, just saying a 9th region ref, for example, is likely use to calling much closer than a 10th region team is use to playing. If the game was noticeably light on fouls and heavy on no-calls i'd ask I we had 16th region refs. Those subtle differences from region to region are what make Kentucky ball so awesome.

That's what a good guard does, if I have a guy who can bring me 30 points I honestly don't give a damn where the come from. Ability to get to the line frequently is an underrated skill.

It feels like the NKY teams (Campbell, Scott, Brossart) always struggle against the Royals, especially when they're supposed to be better on paper. The teams that give Mason headaches always seem to come from the old school 10th region (Pendleton in 2011, A-Town in 2013-14, Harrison in 2015)

My only advice for the lads from Maysville is don't go in the Igloo thinking you'll automatically roll over the hometown team. We made that mistake all 4 years of my mispent highschool days, and 3 of those 4 we got taught a lesson.

Several good points here. If only Crawford shows up and/or Pig, Garrison, and Sweeney all get hot at once it'll spell bad news for the team in white. The play of Hamilton and Jones will make or break the Bears and Lippert will likely have to have the defensive game of his life. Bears will need to be error free. But much stranger things have happened in Brooksville when the stands are packed and the boys are feeling it. They've been happening to me since I was 12 lol.

Has that ever been enforced at any school ever? If so I haven't seen it.
