I agree about how they aren't awarding enough money to the brightest in the state. But it's not hurting them. UL is trying to get kids to their school, UK IMO is trying to generate revenue and knows that they don't need to give out money for kids to come. UK also is focusing more in foreign countries to get some of their brightest.
They traded for Broxton last year, which tells me this year they can do it again. Jesse Crain was another one but forgot to mention. He's a FA after this season and the White Sox probably will deal him if they are out of it.
The other thing that is happening here is that parents aren't willing to send their kids to private schools anymore. UK had their biggest freshman class last year with over 5000 kids. This year evidently it's supposed to be no different. Kids are willing to go public now because of the money issue.
My top one would be Janssen. Hes a free agent after next year, and will be due a fairly good pay raise which is the last thing the Jays want. Offer them a few good prospects and I think they will listen
The only good experience with ER is only if you take an ambulance there, and usually that means you are pretty messed up. I hate the ER with a passion mostly because of the people who use it as a regular doctors office.
Bad throw by Phillips but atrocious positioning by Votto. Foot was on the wrong side of the base and he was stretched out towards second before BP threw it giving him no chance to react and catch it... What's going on?
The best part is that it's going to get crazier! If this team wins 4-5 games this season then we will know these guys can coach. Add that with the talent coming in the next few years could lead to a great ball team.
UL has been great at getting those kids that are in the top 25% of a high school class because, they probably give out more scholarships than any other state school. It's working too which is very impressive.
Hamilton isnt a very good SS. Should have never gotten rid of Didi, but we wouldn't of had Choo. Cozart is top 10 in the league defensively. That is a great attribute to have and you can hide him in the 7th/8th spot. The Reds just need to find a 2 hitter that plays left. Or just wait for Ludwick to comeback
Maybe he only had Chapman planned to go only one inning anyway. He did pitch yesterday, and Id rather have Paul hitting in that situation than Izturis.
