  1. How the heck is Chapman average? The dude had a 1.51 Era last year with 122 K's with 71 innings pitched. That's almost 2 K's every inning! That's pretty remarkable if you tell me.
  2. Chapman has those weeks where he can't do anything right, then he will be lights out for a month then have another bad week. Look at the back of the baseball card, he will be fine, the Reds will be fine, and UKMF will be able to step back from the ledge.
  3. Like I said before, give kids incentives for coming back. For them, enough money to the point it will be able to hold them over a year.
  4. I do also think the one and done rule has helped cut down cheating from coaches to get recruits. Instead of bidding against the NBA to get players to come to your school you just have to go against other schools.
  5. I think what Cal is saying is that the NCAA needs to essentially pay these kids into staying one more year. If the NBA doesn't change the rule then give these kids incentives to come back and continue to grow athletically and academically. I love the idea. Pay a kid enough to get by for the next year, and hopefully cash in on that investment by improving the draft stock by staying another year. Also it still gives guys like Noel and Davis who are sure 1 picks the ability to leave after the first year.
  6. Ehh rough outings happen. Out me in the camp that says this ain't that bad. Didn't Kimbrel blow 3 saves in a row last week? And he did it in the same fashion as Chapman last night.
  7. Do you guys fluctuate times of broadcast based on the timing if the game? Or are you guys always 6-7?
  8. If you have multiple soph starting, that means your program usually has issues, unless you're a small school. No reason for any 6A, 5A, 4A, school to start many unless they are studs.
  9. Yes that can be true. Basketball it's very obvious though.
  10. A lot of people don't understand why this happens. Its not that they are bad officials/umps, its that they dont wamt to irritate their own regions coaches. Officials in every sport will always give favorable calls to their home region team. Yes it's unfair but when the teams play within their own region officiating is never as bad as visiting another region.
  11. Interesting, do they have to keep Soto on the roster for a certain period if time now? If that's the case I wonder who gets sent down when Cueto comes back?
  12. After what happened last year I think it's safe to say that this whole region is wide open. Whoever gets out of district is going to have a chance to take home the prize. Should be a lot of fun! But ill go with HHS to win it and go to Whitaker.
  13. If those seats weren't pink that place would look pretty dang sweet :lol2:. Those black end zones look sweet.
  14. I'm sorry that your panties are all in a wad over these kids. I guarantee this was part of the reason for HHS run last year. They kept their heads in every game in part to this especially at the end of the year where other teams kids had checked out. Like I said before, as long as they aren't being personal towards the pitcher or using profanity then there should be absolutely no issue with it. And from what I've seen this year and in years past they have don't nothing wrong.
  15. I think is see what you did there, bravo
  16. I hate when that happens!
  17. Maybe the pitcher should have some mental toughness. As long as it isn't personal or profanity laden, everything is fair game. Nothing bush league about it. I'm guessing the pitcher didn't do to well during that game since your raising a fuss about it.
  18. JV baseball always seems to bring the best out in people :lol2:.
  19. Along those lines, I've seen way too much throwing mitts, bats, and helmets. And that falls right on the coaching. Coaches aren't policing themselves like they used to, they will let things slide if its the "star" player.
  20. I love it. Well let me put it this way, not a fan of the softballesque chants, but everything else I like. It keeps the players in the game. Yes it may get a little annoying from a fans standpoint, but from a coaches standpoint there is nothing wrong with it and should be encouraged.
  21. Anyone that resist arrest deserves whats coming to them. I see no issue in this at all
  22. Id put Polson ahead of Hawkins right now. But still that makes UK so deep. Hood was the 7-8th man last year, this year hes the 12th :lol2:
  23. I think Cal has his swag back
  24. Noel wasn't even in the top 5 for the class of 2013 before he reclassified I believe and that was before Wiggins reclassified as well. This class is LOADED!
