  1. Marion County certainly is! Congrats to them and ND for making it to the finals! And I'd agree with RCC9 on the fact that this was the finals! Not the Anderson Cty's game.
  2. @RCC9. ND also lost to Walton Verona and won by 1 against Holy Cross. I wouldn't disrespect any of these young ladies for there successes! A squirrel and nut analogy is a little childish for a grown man to compare the accomplishments of any of these teams. Why don't you just call it what it is, ND and Marion Co both belong where they are cause they've weathered their storms and came out on top!
  3. That team your referring to that Anderson barely beat also beat ND at Notre Dame. Watch the regional finals for the last 2:30 and watch how many fouls the hometown favorites got from the officials. Up by 10 and SK couldn't get an honest call. As for ND and Marion County, 2 of the best in the state! It's also ashame that Highlands didn't make it to the sweet 16! That's a great looking team also. Here's to hoping ND can bring home a state championship!
  4. SK brought their A game and had Anderson beat! When you have officials that refuse to call 4th quarter fouls on plays designed to trap and foul to stop the clock, you have a problem! There is nothing more to this story. 3 minutes left, up by 10 and the trap is on. On the inbounds there was holding, on the trap, there was reach in and on the rebound a lot of over the back. Lack of officating put Anderson back in the game and created a landslide for SK. None of Anderson's or SK girls deserved to have their season decided by these officials. I see almost every game at North Oldham and these ref's were horrible. I'd love to send some pics and video to someone who actually cares at KHSAA to keep this from happening next year. .
  5. Hopefully for these girls, they do not send the officials from the 6 region. We supposedly just seen their best and it was terrible! Good luck to all the girls! Let the athletes decide the outcome of THEIR game!
  6. Then you must have missed the championship game. The officials continued to allow reach in and over the back fouls the last 5 minutes. The last 3 minutes of play while Anderson was trapping and setting up for a quick foul to stop the clock, they were never called which allowed for reach in and that's when " The wheels on the bus fell off"( as someone previously stated). These girls are prepared to brake Logitech traps and full court pressure when a ref does his job and disallows holding and reach ins. A total dis justice to 2 teams that left everything on the court to be ripped off by 3 horrible officials! Let the kids decide the outcome! Hold BAD referees accountable! IMO
  7. These 6th Region Refs need to be held accountable. The championship game officating was a tragedy. Anderson did a great job pressuring SK, double teaming down by 9 and trying to send SK to the free throw line. The red headed official refused to call a foul against Anderson during the final 3 minutes. ANYONE would turn the ball over when double team and fouled with no recourse. NO WAY this is the best kentucky has for any basketball team working hard all year to be cheated. Again, not taking anything away from a great looking Anderson team. They really battled with SK but this is no way for either team to win or lose. IMO
  8. No but the consistently horrible officiating sure did. Amazing game by Anderson and SK. Anderson recognized an opportunity and took full advantage of it. Cannot take anything away from either team. The gave the fans their monies worth.
  9. I agree coach14! And for anyone to assume that this is SK's master plan, I'll just remind them that last year at this time a tornado tore through Kenton County and the game was cancelled and did not prove beneficial for SK. Smart move by whoever kept the girls off the highway at 11:00pm last night due to the hazardous road conditions after 8pm.

  11. A win is a win!! The officiating wasn't much better tonight than the 1st game. Collins #34 looked great tonight. Owens and Bosse made key 3 pointers when they were needed. Owens had 19 and was clutch! Bosse had a double double and Cox was strong on the inside. Tomlin shut down their shooter in the 2nd half. Looked like Cookie was sick! Live to play another game!
  12. It would seem the KHSAA should monitor the refs during thre regional games. Once they are "graded" and evaluated be invited back, retrained or black balled from post season officiating. you remove the coaching and place a non bias person in the stands to see first hand how this affects these athletes and the families that support them. IMO
  13. SK's Coach Dubbs prepared the JV well this year also with their undefeated season and the Northern Lentucky Regional Champs! Girls played a lot of varsity minutes too!
  14. Great job to the Lady Pioneers tonight! Congrats to Christina Cook for tourney MVP, Paige Bosse and Abby Owings for all District Team. Bosse had 16 rebounds against Billie Hearns and the Braves and Cook and Owings light it up all over the hardwood. Final shout out to Coach Stowers and Coach Olmstead for their preparation for the 8th Region teams! Undefeated for the season vs. 8th!
  15. Ryle Really? They don't have the coaching or depth to compete with Highlands or Notre Dame. Dawn and Katie are good players but take the ball from Mikel O and they have no depth.
