LOVE the addition of NCC. A well coached spread opponent. I think Cabell Midland runs a balanced/pro style offense. Knoxville Catholic runs a spread and appears to have a very talented RB (#3) returning from a 10-2 team. Johnson Central has owned Belfry of late. Pikeville is dangerous (as we know from last year). Challenging but exciting schedule to say the least.

I think he projects as an OT. The problem with that is, some team would really have to take a flyer on him because he would have to learn the position from ground zero.

Kid made a lot of great plays this past season. He has great short range closing speed. I hope he is able to attend as many combines/camps/etc as possible between now and next season. I frankly a little surprised the recruiting buzz around him hasn't picked up some since his performance in the state championship game.

NCC simply looks outmatched.

Since no one else has mentioned it yet. Jr. RB Deonte Joplin has apparently left the team. I can speak for myself and I feel many other Pirate fans when we say his transfer this offseason brought high expectations. I for one thought he would be a gamebreaking caliber RB in Haywood's system. However, through 3 games he had only carried the ball a dozen or so times. I hate to speculate about why he may have chosen to leave, but he is gone. In week 1, Belfry lost another of their top 3 RB's to a broken collar bone. So, Haywood and company will have to find a combination that works. I doubt this is enough to change the outcome of this game, but it certainly adds a wrinkle and gives fans something else to keep an eye on.

I see it something like 49-14. (35-7 at half) I simply don't see Pikeville competing enough on the LOS to be that competitive in the game. Estep and Pugh will make a couple big plays though.

I like 4chs list except for switch Central and Bourbon.

Bentley was held back, Horton is a "true" Sophmore.

^ Yes sir. I am just as excited as you and EKU. I don't get to watch many games anymore but I did make it this past Friday and came away impressed with both he and Bentley. Horton looks the part when he penetrates and is able to trip up speedy tailbacks in the backfield. As far as being a major college prospect, does he really have the frame for a DT? He looks to go about 6'0" to me. I know DT's don't necessarily need to be real tall. If Bentley continues to thicken, I think he would best translate as a OT at the next level. Someone would have to take him based on his potential though as he does not play there in High School, and even if he did would not be "skilled" in pass blocking, etc.

Both Bentley and Horton have size and talent. I cannot say whether or not the site is reputable, as it appears to be new, but signingday.com has Horton listed as: 4 star 118 National 2 State 6 Position For Class of 2017

Central certainly has put on a Highlands type run in 3A. But a one point come from behind victory last year was not "throttling" the competition.
