I hope, with everything I have, that Ryle wins.. It would be an early Christmas present for me, and it's not because I am a Ryle fan, or because I dislike SK.

Good points made, also, Scott is a much improved team from years past. I'll revise my Prediction, and say Cooper wins.. But not by alot.

If the same Conner team shows up, that showed up in the second half against CC, I expect this one to be ugly. I agree with Clyde 40+ points being scored.

I wonder if either coaching staff has "black flagged" this crew? Coaches can do that in high school, correct?

Absolutely, I said before they stepped up huge, and showed a ton of heart. I don't think they gave up a first down in the 4th quarter.

Possibly had over 200 total yards.. But a member of BGP predicted him to RUN for 200. That did not happen

I do not think he had the 200 yard rushing game as predicted..

Kid has a busy schedule. Im guessing, the dead period is the only time a year he gets a break..

He is a three sport athlete at Conner, and from what I understand, and very good student as well. Glad to see him getting into the mix the past two weeks, he works hard, and has earned it

They are in street clothes, they don't wear the stripes unless they are needed.. I know im not crazy and just making this up off the top of my head. Like I said before, maybe its only in playoff games. I could be mistaken, and mixing college and high school rules together, I have the tendency to do that from time to time..

It was my understanding, that they are a part of the crew, standing on the sidelines, taking notes on the game, questionable calls etc.. More like a supervisor than a sub, but if they are needed, they are qualified to enter a game and officiate. Maybe this is only for playoff games? Either way, having a shorthanded officiating crew, like i said before, is no excuse for the officials not knowing what is going on around them.

So there are only substitute officials at some games? How do they determine which games have a sub? Give a little more description when discounting a point, other than "Not True!"

There is supposed to be a substitute official at every game, in case something like this happens, they will have a full crew.

I was told the same thing by a Cooper parent.

I know what I saw.. It was bad. And being "short handed" is no excuse for being lazy, and not knowing the rules.

White Hat went down on maybe the third series of the game. Very early in the first quarter.

It had very little negative impact on CC, in fact it probably played to their benefit. There were many, many times that a flag should have been thrown on CC, and the officials kept the flag in their pocket. I'll give examples: I would say that 90% of the tackles that CC made, the defender came in with his helmet, head down, flagrant "leading with the head" penalties. There were several times that Conner ball carriers were tackled 3 yards out of bounds, no flags. At one point, Barker was shoved so far out of bounds, he almost took out the cheerleaders on the track. On a couple of occasions, Barker had released the ball, and was still getting rocked after the pass was long gone, he was being picked up and driven into the ground. All of these should have been called. If you were at the game, you know what we are talking about, Queen of Pink said it earlier, they were very lazy and very bad.

Well, if they get that far, it will be a moral victory. The 6A title trophy already has Trinity engraved on it. SK doesn't have a snowballs chance against Trinity. If, and I do mean if, SK is to make it to the title game, they will get beat... BAD

Maxpreps probably is not the best source for judging how good a team is. I wouldn't read too much into these rankings. Many times that website doesn't even have the correct schedule information.

I think it was a combination of laziness, and them being very bad. I noticed the officials seemed to miss tons of calls, make several mistakes regarding spotting of the ball, etc.. Also the white hat went down with injury, and they didn't replace him. They went with no back judge, strange to me. That pass interference that was called near the goal line may have been one of the few they got RIGHT all evening. Clyde, I was asking myself during the game why the other pass interference wasn't an automatic 1st down, because I was sure that it was supposed to be.
