Not very effectively. The Camels double, triple and at times whole team teamed McDonnald without much success. Mcgovney played very inspired 12pts. Holbrok was also unguardable. 27pts foe CCHS -

Game, I also was at the NCC - HC game and can't figure out what you were watching. Campbell was doubled a lot ot the game, but that was mostly when McDonald was not in the game. His best defense was before Campbell received the ball. Drew's positioning was very good preventing the entry pass at all. Also HC's first two times down the court in the 2nd half Campbell took it to rim against McDonald and was turned away both times. Additionally only 3 of Cambell's 8 points were scored when McDonald was in the game. I'M JUST TRYING TO KEEP IT REAL! -

Roger Bacon will be a real test for the Mustangs. Bacon scrimmaged New Cath in the pre season and had the better of it by a slight margin. Good louck to the stangs. -

Couldn't agree more. I saw the Newport game and was extremely impressed with Trentman, Berns and the floor play of Rieger. At one stretch he had several rebounds, deflections, assists and steals. Very poised player. -

Thanks as always for the recap. Do you know why the NCC box scores have not been in the paper for the lasr 3 games? -
Joe, I think everyone agrees that the ball needs to go inside, but I was at the game against CAL and thought the Berds did the best job of the year getting the ball inside. For the first time that I can recall, Jake was demanding the ball and was very effective inside. To be fair, CAL was packing it in so much that it was not always practical to force the ball inside. This brings up another point. Michael B and Nick have got to stop thking themselves out of the game with silly fouls. When those two are on the bench and the defense sags inside, NCC is very limited on offense.

New Cath has played 4 games. Ludlow and Boon both came out in a zone and Nick made them pay the price. Dixie and Cooper played primarily man and NCC worked it isside. NCC is very versital. -
Brossart vs Newport Catholic Feb 1

Years ago BBHS and Campbell Co started their crosstown game which has been a hugh success. ( I know, I was in the Brossart Boosters Club at the time) Why not start an annual Campbell Co Catholic Cup game complete with travleing trophy? Mel Webster is a teriffic organizer! -
Brossart vs Newport Catholic Feb 1

Mustang, I usually find your posts to be reasonable but this time it's pretty lame. I am a Brossart fan myself. CCMS is BBHS's home away from home anyway. It's about allowing many more fans to enjoy a great game, not to mention a larger gate and concessions. Brossart has finally gotten their program to a very respectable level, one that many people would like to follow, and they can't get in the gym. -
I was speaking with a BBHS supporter and he mentioned that the Feb 1 game with NCC was being played at Brossart this year. Although it's early, with both teams playing well, does it not make sence to try and play the game at the Campbell Co middle school? I admit that I have no idea what all this involves, however this move would accomodate 4 or 5 times the number of fans. Just wondering!!

I saw BBHS 3 or 4 times last year. I thought there was a Jennings and Verst comming back at guard. Will they be a factor? Also there seemed to be a real log jam with so many sophmores. How do you think that will work itself out?
