  1. Nice return by Guy Jr. Central takes over on their own 43. Worth noting I think the injured player on the last drive was Belfry's FB JJ Austin. Something to monitor there.
  2. 3rd and Goal at the 1 Touchdown Belfry. Teams trade penalties on XP but the kick eventually misses wide left. 7:51 in 2nd Belfry 13 Central 0
  3. Injury timeout 8:36 in 2nd 7-0 Belfry Belfry inside the red zone 1st and 10.
  4. After 4th and forever Belfry fields the short punt and gets a return to the C35 where they start 1st and 10.
  5. Bad snap and Hunter Hylton lower the boom to the QB as he retrreats to get the football on a big loss. QB Baker is shaken up. Hylton has been everywhere so far.
  6. Receiver takes screen and Belfry has him pinned in, he reverses field and gets to the sticks to convert a 1st Down. END OF 1ST Belfry 7 Central 0
  7. Central will scrimmage from their own 28.
  8. Belfry coaching staff mixing up looks from pistol to flexbone. That was a beautiful pass on the post. The 4th Down conversion Belfry lined up in the spread for a 4th and 1 but just went FB dive.
  9. Austin 6 yard TOUCHDOWN BELFRY 1:37 in 1st Belfry 7 Central 0
  10. Varney to Woolum on the post. Belfry 1st and Goal at the 6.
  11. Belfry gets a first down but can't convert on 3rd and 1... they go for it on 4th Down and pick it just over midfield.
  12. Timeout on the field. 5:17 in 1st 0-0
  13. 4th and 1 Central at B26. 3rd effort Central comes up short and Belfry takes over.
  14. FYI if you want to watch WYMT is live streaming this on their app.
  15. Belfry fumble on the exchange. Central recovers and gets a little return and will take over on the Belfry side of the field.
  16. 3 and Out for Central. Belfry takes over after short punt at the C44.
  17. Just underway. 8:40 in 1st no score. Belfry turned it over on downs.
  18. Chase Varney scampers for a TD on the option but a hold downfield negates it.
  19. Pressure by Hylton leads to a Belfry INT by Deskins.
  20. I had it before the game and it was eye opening! Very good! I had never actually had white chili until then and let's just say I now will at least have it once or twice a year once the weather gets cold ever since... and every time I have it I immediately think of that night.
  21. That game is the one single game I probably remember most vividly for those reasons (plus it was an exciting game to boot). I have never experienced a game like that and never experienced a game so cold that I still felt it the next day.
  22. Kentucky football is better when Danville and Boyle are both good. I hope these programs get back to where this game has value for both. I feel confident Stonebreaker if given the reigns and the trust can get Danville back on a positive trajectory, but right now the gulf is very wide to where it will probably be at least 5 years before this rivalry makes sense for any benefit to either team.
  23. Very tough game to pick this early in the season. Pedigree suggests Ashland should win this, but Tates Creek's opener was impressive. I will stick with Ashland in a pretty fun game where both teams get over the 30 mark.
  24. Go get em Danville! The Ads are going to take some games on the chin this year, but I think Stonebreaker is going to show an immediate marked improvement. Fairdale is a team that will be a good measuring stick. On paper this is one of the games I expect Danville to lose , but it's not like they are playing a dominant force. Fairdale is a lower pack 5A team. The goal is to compete for 4 Quarters. A win is gravy. A close loss is a good step forward.
  25. I am going to waive my arms and say that Lawrence County needs to start being heavy on the radar of 3A teams this year. The Bulldogs return about 90% of their starters and production from a pretty solid team last year that started a bunch of a Sophomores. Their QB is a 3 year starter and has improved a great deal. His accuracy is very surprising. The Johnson kid is developing into a big play threat outside and the Bulldogs have a handful of good runners (including the QB) around a veteran OL. Lawrence is going to be a handful for a lot of 3A teams because they can eat clock and extend drives with 3rd Down passing. The ultimate question is going to be if they are able to stop the better offenses in the class. This is something they struggled with last year as Belfry and Bell both won the LOS and effectively wore them down. Their defense looked pretty good in their season opener and in some scrimmages against some quality teams. With Belfry out of their District they should be the heavy favorite to win their District Title. If Lawrence can knock off Ashland in an upset on September 4th then watch out. I could see LC going undefeated if they win that game and their schedule is one of those sneaky schedules that could manipulate the RPI algorithm. Just enough playing up in class against teams that will get a handful of wins themselves. Just put a dogear on this post... I may be wrong.. but I am going to say keep this team on your radar. I do see a situation where this season and next season Lawrence County could be the new Hart County.
