  1. The only point was that for NKY standards its going to be a tuff match up. I am sure Highlands would beat Lasalle this year by 5 touchdowns.
  2. Lasalle is still going to be as good as any NKY football team. They have two defense players that have D1 Scholarships (UC, Miami of Ohio). I am sure that they will be a very good team and CovCath will have to play very good to win or make it competitive. A great game to measure yourself by. CovCath will be much better in a few weeks while the defense continues to grow.
  3. Both good teams and ashame they dont play in regular season. I would love to see that game! Which team has more good to great players on it and I would say CovCath. We know Travis is great but who else do they have that would be on All Northern Kentucky 1st Team. I know CovCath has many more good to great players and deserves some respect.
  4. What coaching errors are you referring too? I do believe after they got down by 14 points that you could see the kids deflate. They were beat by a mature talented team. Pretty easy to say coaching errors after the fact. Most of us in the stands have never lost a game! first game the man has coached with this group of kids and coaching errors?
  5. I sure hope the game is determined in the trenches. I will put CovCath up against anyone up front. There offensive line will provide anyone including Highlands a big challenge! Highlands still the team to beat but watch out if CovCath can get the defensive side of the ball competitive against good teams.
  6. No I read and understood fully your comments. I don't believe you are going to be contending for any state title this year in 5A no matter how weak it is and your improvement still will not put you in the hunt. Next year more realistic.
  7. Covington Catholic beat Lex. Catholic convincingly last year and have most of there key starters back. Another useless preseason article. Kyle Bolin better be able to play QB, play defense and block for himself.
  8. Congratulations to all the kids mentioned in the article but we all know that list has several kids that could be on it thats not. I will not mention kids I know should be on the list because it makes no sense to do that. I dont understand why they would have this come out anyway. Coaches dont know all the talent around the state but they know the big names that have recieved offers already for college. There are probably 50% of these kids that have equivilants around the state.
  9. Wow! We did not realize they where missing 2 starting tackles and #1 reciever (Anthony Munoz, Forest Gregg and Jerry Rice). Now it makes sense why they didnt have a better showing. It could not be they played a superior team.
  10. Just curios about SK football history. How many State Championships do they have in their history? Mabey thats an unfair question so lets try this.. How many regional championships do they have. I am pretty new to the NKY area but it sure seems SK fans really feel they have an elite program. I would not even rank them in my top 5 for NKY area (present or past). Mabey top ten.
  11. I would think they have much better chance than anyone else in this area. The one thing we know is Conner couldnt win a class A state championship this year.
  12. atleast the kid from Lone Oak has put up numbers in Varsity competition. We put to many kids as the next coming but yet have played and varsity action.
  13. I do believe many Highlands fans believe they are on par with 6A powers like Trinity and St.X. The reality is they have awesome program that will not compete consitently against 6A powers just like Beechwood against the Birds. No harm playing them or scrimmage them if you can deal with the reality that very small percentage of time you are going to be able to win. it is hard to think people really thought that they would be on par with Trinity.
  14. Quick question. How good is Highlands up front? Who is going to do the dirty work so thier talented skill position players can do their jobs? Will highlands be able to handle big athletic offensive line? Remember, Championships are won up front.
