Because it's barely mid-March and they haven't hired a coach...means Bellevue doesn't want to play competitive football (if you notice there are other football jobs posted on KHSAA, I guess those schools have lost their competitive nature as well). You are a complete joke saying something like that. You obviously have no what goes on in the hiring process. I don't know a whole lot of what goes on during the process but I am sure they are looking for a qualified coach and teacher. Just like Highlands would do or any other school in the area. I really hope that they hire some one other than Eckstein, so all of us on here can be spared your stupidity for a month.

I heard that Thompson is playing his kid at QB, who isn't very athletic at all. I have also heard the other kids on the team have become upset by this move.

the teacher that taught me to read must have been the same one to teach ABC2 to spell! I agree it's going to be tough playing NCC now, but I still wouldn't be surprised if BB and Bell schedule each other down the road. I know it won't be until 2013, before anyone says anything about that.

Dear Mr. Wilson I know that you are the athletic director at Bellevue and probably or at least maybe read some posts on here. You may have even commented on some things in this Bellevue posts. I am an avid Brossart Mustangs fan and for the sake of our team would hate for you do to it, but for BGP sake, could you hire Dave Eckstein so that we are spared for one month! Thanks

I don't think Bellevue has ever done spring practice (even with coach Eckstein). Also, if a new coach has a new offense/defense to install, if he worth his weight as a coach, he will have very organized and efficient practices in the summer where he can install then. Especially since most of the starters and key players will be playing baseball or running track. A good coach will have no probelm with doing this. Also how many times does everyone on here have to tell you that Eckstein is only running the weight program from what my son's friends are saying, Eckstein is not interested in the job at all!

I wasn't at this game so I can't comment on the officiating. However, why doesn't Ryle's coach just stratch Freppon. I would stratch him along with Bob Burkhart.

Which Bellevue guys are out at Highlands? The only ones that I know of are Ryan Leopold and Neil Hollingsworth......I just hope for Bellevue's sake that neither one of these guys are hired for the position. If they would be Bellevue football would take so many steps backwards it would be ridiculous for them. I am still curious who is going to take this job. Things seem very secretive in Tiger Country.

I just heard last night that Campbell County assistant and former Bellevue great Doug Miller is seriously considering the Bellevue job. He had even talked to Nick Wilson about the position and even transferring his son into the Bellevue school system.

As a brossart guy myself, I am not sure Reinhart would be a good fit at Holmes....maybe in a few years. I wonder if Zack Deaton from Dayton will replace Lickert at Holmes, like he did at Dayton. Maybe the Sherer from Bellevue could apply there.

I don't buy into it needs to be a Belleve guy or that it HAS to be someone from the outside. I just think you need to find a good coach that knows how to handle the young men on the team, can get a good staff around him in which he can trust to delegate some duties and power. Also, the coach needs to be some one that can buy into Bellevue traditions, can teach those boys not only about football but about life, and is someone that is willing to adjust as needed. He must be approachable, someone the kids can trust, and a motivator to the athletes. If this person is from Bellevue then great, if he is not, then that's fine too. If you can find someone with these qualities then I think you will have a successful program, period. If a coach is unsuccessful with this, I would not keep them around either.

I have heard from the kids my son hangs with that Wilson is running after school weights with the kids and that there has been about 30 kids there everyday.

I doubt he plays Highlands...IMO that is why he was fast to get out of Holmes with the new alignment. Also, I think we will see a new head coach there is 2-4 years (just saying...he will continue to job jump).

Does anyone know if there is a timeline for hiring on this position?

I wonder if Dave Pelgen would coach at Bellevue. I know he was one of our coaches here at Brossart last season and his son will be a sophomore (I think). Would the Wilson guy make a good head coach? I know Clint Bell does an excellent job with the wrestling team here at Brossart. I believe he works in the building or maybe at the elementary school. I think he would be a good candidate.

Who is Bellevue's AD?

Besides Coach Sherer is Clint Bell the only coach on staff or person with coaching experience in the building (excluding Eckstein)?

While attending the Bellevue Vets (nice establishment by the way), over the weekend. I heard that Coach Eckstein is not coming back, this came from some Bellevue buddies of mine. They did go on to say that they heard that the search is narrowed to a teacher in the building (not sure who) and to Steve Hensley, I think he coaches at Ludlow.

I promise it wasn't a shot at the Coach Rash or the Beechwood program. Being from NKy everyone knows that you have to beat Beechwood if you are an "A" program. They are a great team and have a great staff, I just know that Brossart would be better off staying in single A than AA.

As a Brossart parent.....does the Beechwood administration want to switch districts with us and play 2A? If you do so at least you wouldn't have to play Mayfield anymore!
