Somewhat off topic but IMHO the stealing signs things ( for the offensive team ) could just be ignored by the defensive team . Here's why . If you think a fan/coach can steal a sign , relay it to the hitter , and have that hitter make some adjustment in the 2-4 seconds it takes the pitcher/catcher to get that pitch delivered you are crazy . Yesterday our pitcher was crying the blues after an inning saying " they are on our signs " and rightfully our coach said " we just threw a shut out in game 1 and its scoreless this game , whatever they are doing isnt helping a bit , just PITCH " Your AVERAGE hitter isnt able to some miracle adjustment 4 seconds prior to that pitch being delivered , just isnt happening . I think the ole " go with it " or " get ahead of it " tip for location is hugely over rated . just my opinion .

As a supporter ( and resident ) of eastern Ky softball it just makes me sad , such a poor choice on a day that could brought some positive attention to a solid ball club with a VERY rare talent , the adult in the room mucks it up for the players and makes the 16th region look like " same ole stuff" . Its hard to accept the " we didnt have a catcher " excuse when the girl pitches game two .

Wow , you play Hurricane in game 1 and East Jess in game 2 and decide to play for the split . Weak sauce and disappointing IMO . I'd respect the decision more if you just said " we didnt want lose to a Ky team so we saved our ace" . Am I correct that East Jess's ace is out with an injury ?

Did East go to Myrtle beach and play this week ? Heard they lost a 2 -0 game to a Pa team ? No clue if thats accurate or not , a friend with a daughter playing there this week thought so .

Ashland was beaten 17-16 by Raceland , they gave up 9 in the first inning , lost to Madison-N H 11-1 , lost to Male 10-3 , lost to Boyle 10-3 . Lone win is 6-4 over Lawrence Co . That doesnt call for being ranked IMO .

Whats it based on ? Past results , which mean very little , Ashland in the top 25 is silly , they have been very UNDER rated some years as they have a good program , but ranking them this season shows whoever is voting doesnt really know whats going on in EKY .

What a crappy day that would be for wayne , IF they drove from there to Russell to play 3 innings .

the polls say Boyd and Russell. Russell didnt lose to much and I know played them close at Russell early last year losing 3-2 . Your Red Devils have at least 2 solid players Sara Heineman going to Transy ( maybe ??) And a Louisville Slugger 16u player Makayla Fraley. And Layne in the circle I believe .
