  1. I was surprised at the height Highlands has on this team. Tall girls and very capable.
  2. I hope the Pandas win this one. This team is on the comeback after a slow start. Once they get all of their injured players back and ready to go in I think NDA gets back to its winning ways.
  3. Also I believe the Megan Berberich referred to in article graduated about 3 years ago from NDA
  4. You are a piece of work. What a shot out of left field. Really? :bag: What a way to spoil a positive thread. Whomever said you were 'classless' for your post is right on the money.
  5. NDA holding the ball? You must have another team in mind if you are talking "holding the ball" seriously?
  6. I believe Simon Kenton plays Notre Dame Friday night in Park Hills
  7. Way to go Pandas! Nice win in front of the hometown crowd. Get ready for Boone Friday night and back in Park Hills!
  8. If its on..we'll be watching. Birdsfan... is that Padre Pio on your moniker??? Nice.
  9. please...Lord.. no more threads about SMASH MOUTH football.
  10. You are 100% correct, Scout. I also agree with the previous post that the writer(s) of this email are cowards. What parent, if they have a problem with the coach or simply want to air something out...doesn't ask to talk to the coach? I haven't seen the email and I don't want to. Yes, I have heard bits and pieces of it and it sounds like it was a 'book' and the person who told me about it described it as a sad, sad and bitter disgruntled parent. And that the email is designed to bring everyone down with them. No class, selfish, immature and inappropriate. I believe the writer should beware...in this day and age of technology...there are no 'anonymous' emails so maybe you should just come clean now and then let's shut down this thread!
  11. Don't you have another team to be cheering for? And FYI....It's Coach Wirth...not Worth.
  12. used to feel sorry for the QB because he clearly does not have a handle on his emotions and has no respect for authority. Then I felt sorry for the coaching staff to have to 'deal with' a great player who is such a handful. Then I felt sorry for the other players on the Dixie sidelines and the parents of those kids. They have seen this behavior from football, to basketball to baseball. (he's a talented, multi-sport athlete) The sideline antics have plagued these other kids for years and I can't believe other parents and coaches have not stopped it because he is disrepecting EVERYONE. Now I feel sorry for his parents. They have to know what is happening. Are they so used to the behavior it is 'just the way it is?" I am not a Dixie parent but I know a lot of them and they have been suffering for years.
  13. What happened in the game for the ejection? Sorry if I am a late comer on this
  14. He was the backup QB after Pike went out of the game. This player was put in on defense. It happened on the opposite end of my seat but he took a hit and went down and didn't get up. Game was on hold. Players on one knee. Fans all quieted down. CCH players were praying for the Dixie player. Stretcher came out. emt's did not remove his helmet.
  15. Haven't heard. I can tell you that fans on both sides of the field were very concerned. For CCH it took an emotional turn when the Blue Colonels, on one knee due to the player down.. joined hands and immediately started praying for the Red Colonel... coaches, too. It would be great for someone who has information on this player to pass it along. We are all hoping for the best.
  16. The question is.. will the elephant be playing in the game this weekend? And I'm pointing. Can't you see me..pointing?
  17. Funny. And agree 100%. Gold had an outstanding game. And The Dixie O-line gave the QB huge amounts of time. At one point..I believe in the 4th... the QB had a couple of Birds hanging on him and he could not see an open man down field. Dixie QB is a big kid.. he finally saw the man and launched the ball and made the play. That was impressive. And the Dixie D-line played tough.
  18. I was there. Near the sideline and have been there before during Dixie games as I am a fan of many NKY teams and enjoy H.S. football. I have to say I have NEVER, EVER heard a player talk to fellow players, coaches and staff like that QB does. Foul language, bitter and just plain mean. Sorry for telling it like it is. But I believe the Red Colonel fans and their sons are about fed up. How much more can they take? That should have been stopped years ago. Yes, I have played the game. I have coached. So I know what I'm talking about. I know there is frustration on the sidelines, and emotion and tough talk, but I was shocked the first time I saw that behavior on the Dixie sidelines. Now I am just over it. And no..I am not calling out a single player. I am calling out the program for allowing that to happen and continue. I do believe a certain player was benched at one point because of behavior
  19. Wow. Listening to Highlands Radio and getting the updates here, too. Thanks, Birdsfan!
  20. "You don't live in Cleveland!" Sam Wyche, Cincinnati Bengals... talking to fans not players!
  21. Bingo, Mexi. You are right on. Except I am hoping that CovCath can put it all together and pull out the win. I believe that NewCath is a team that can capitalize on one big mistake by the opponent and change the game completely. And there in lies the problem with CCH and past penalties. If the Colonels can keep it clean it's going to be a heck of a game. I believe that fans on both sides of the field will be wringing their hands until the end. And who dosen't want a great game. I do.
