Here is the full story of what happened this morning

I have seen all three of these teams play and this is obviously a wrong statement. St. Xavier might even beat Highlands - they are extremely talented this season. Personally, I would take St. X's overall talent over Highlands. However, this year's Fort Thomas bunch is special and plays with a lot of pride. Trinity, also wouldn't lose by 40. I would think Highlands would win, but by 40? Now you are just being silly.

It is a pretty dumb idea to rank the entire state outside of classifications, but if you had to do it - this is not a horrible list. However, Henry Clay at #12 is pretty bad, especially since I have the Blue Devils No. 2 in 6A. I don't understand why everyone is ranking CovCath.

Justin Thomas has birdied four consecutive holes on the front 9 of his second round. He is leading at 4 under. For teams it is a two-horse race - St. X and Lexington Christian. CoachesAid is updating and should have a story up by the morning on the champion.

No. 10 - pretty impressive feat for a public school of 800 total students.

From CoachesAid.com/ky USA Today and ESPN has Highlands in the top 25 this week. Not sure what MaxPreps has - to be honest I think it is silly to rank teams statewide (out of classification), let alone nationally. Oh well, Highlands deserves to be recognized after a huge win against Cincinnati St. X.

If it were today and I had a vote, I would give it Dominique Hayden. I wouldn't want to play Lexington Christian right now - a big game against LexCath could go a long way. Rees MacShara and Antonio Andrews were front runners at the start of the season and still are - they are just amazing athletes. I also like Tevin McCaden - if Bryan Station keeps on winning - McCaden must be considered.

Great recap indeed. It seems to me that every one on here is assuming that Cooper ran up the score. However, we should all take this for what it is, the possible emergence of another good 6A team in Northern Kentucky. As long as the rules don't change by the time that Cooper "gets there" the NKY 6A district should be really exciting - that would mean two quality programs will not be allowed in the playoffs.
