  1. Somerset is a nice place, used to have family there. Nice trip if our teams meet.
  2. Great game for both programs, I do think that in time Copley will mature as a coach (no knock here..he is good) and appreciate the rivalry and gate the RAMS brought to both schools. However COACH MAYNARD will not beg for the game to be played. Copley should have known one way or the other before contacting TJ. Again, alot of that is immaturity. I wish both teams luck.
  3. RAMS BY 6 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TYLER FARLEY!!
  4. Fairview has an excellent team. I read on another board and have heard things about some of the Huntington players that transferred. Are they under investigation or is this just sour grapes? Actually the board I read it on claimed Ashland turned them in. It seems like alot more than a child or 2 moving into a district. Have heard alot of rumors, anyone with facts on this? I mean hearing free rent, addresses that are bogus, etc. Just wish someone could clear this up, as to not take away from their team. No sour grapes here, and best of luck. I think Fairview will go into the playoffs undefeated. I heard some complain against Raceland that there were some cheap shots on our players, can't say for sure. That usually works both ways.
  5. Best wishes to the Paris Greyhounds, their players and staff. Those kids are winners in my book.
  6. That would truly be the words no offense lol.
  7. The excuse of figuring gas, transportation costs etc is the excuse I love to hear. How far is it to play Ashland,Russell, Greenup? Fact is they may have a decent team this season and should be commended for giving the tranfer athletes a "better life" in Westworld. How many other students have they done this for? Raceland has a very young team and Fairview may win against us, but we still have the nuggets to play the bigger schools year in and year out.
  8. Glad no serious injuries with the wet field, Farley did a good job considering the wind and heavy rains. Congrats Rams!
  9. Players will learn from it and Copley made his share and maybe he will mature as a headcoach. Goodluck the rest of your season
  10. GC left starters in with game well in hand and scored about 30 in an 8 min stretch. Seems like with about 9 min to go it was something like 40-27 and Ram players who were undersized, young and most play on both sides of ball were spent....reserves put in and more after next GC td. But GC left starters in and with a min to go was running a 6'4 250 lb+ guy at freshmen..........don't blame the players but Copley is a novice and a punk.....period
  11. I guess you have to blame Copley for running the score up and for the behavior and lack or respect his players exhibited shaking their fists at Rams bleachers while signs were torn down . Tj would never allow this from our kids, if they went to the opposite side and removed a sign for a player who was killed earlier in the summer, let alone the rest. I stand by statement, Copley is a punk.
  12. Yea, classless.....Copley is a wet behind the ears, a punk tearing down the Baldridge sign would be like our kids ripping down the Meenach sign. our kids and coaches have class.....would never happen. Lyle kid was the difference, besides being young and no depth. That Marsh kid got a takedown by a Ram, wicked throwdown
  13. I wish GC luck in this one, Ashland is loaded and extremely fast and talented. Greenup will have to stay focused if they are blown out, a long season ahead.
  14. . Now saying that, I think we have some potential and I am excited to see how the season unfolds. Are we going to be good enough with our out of district opponents? Don't honestly know. But by the time we start 1A District play, we should be ok. We have to remember that we have an elite coaching staff that will benefit us in close competition. Overall, I was pleasantly suprised by the young talent. We will know more this weekend, I know this team can't afford any injuries, and I still have concern regarding the O-line
  15. Anyone see how our lines are looking? Anymore kids stepping it up to want to win a spot?
  16. My Ram is running everyday a mile or 2 and lifting every other day, trying to be in decent shape when "real football" starts.
  17. My sons a soph. I sure hope he is putting forth an effort. I always said he was like that box of chocolates, .................................he is capable but they have to want it.
  18. With Barr gone, and Rister leaving, Raceland loses a catcher and ss, what other holes to fill and who do you all see playing these positions?
  19. Great game by Russell's Justin Davidson, we had no one in the middle wh could match his strength, size, and athletism. Raceland has a young team, but they are going to have to find some players to score and help on the boards.
  20. Congrats Old Rambler, and thanks to LCA for being a class act. The passion the Raceland fans and players have is something special. Loren Huffman, a senior who has unmatched heart and love of the team, came up to my son, a freshman, and told him he would be a good player and that he would be around supporting them. I guess mine was a tranfer who stayed. In my opinion Raceland was a good fit, actually caring about their grades and the child. Thanks to everyone.
