I call shenanigans on the cover story, just seems that the video was made, and not many are going to go self-report something so demeaning to so many. If it was made in May then it sure looked like 3-4 in the room, so no one done anything and the video gets released right before the Fairview game. May have been a party....but where were the graduates? 3-4 people in most,counting the offenders. Say the cover story is true,out of the 3-4, nothing was done to insure it wasnt published? no it was taken down after many from the Wood raised cane, but really all women,gays,anti-dope users should be offended......and were. Once its published its out there. Now the whole story wreaks ,so should Coach maynard apologize to all offended now or what? Seems once the anti-gay,drug promoting, etc was out there and Maynard knew, Raceland School District had an option of letting the student attend.......and they did. On SEONEPREPS other Ram supporters thought the student should be suspended....period. Many! see, its out there,not by me,but Marcus and Bubba the Rams coaching staff are part of the problem and not the solution. If I were in charge and our star player did the same,they would be off the team.....and surely if I had a say out of my district....and Raceland had the choice. Raceland has no right to say they stand for values anymore,although they really just fought with Fairview and GC on that. Win Win Win at all costs! and this season is about over. I do wish the student the best, but where did he learn such? I did read he has great parents. Guess in the haste to put the beer on the invisable others and blame graduates, forgot about the drinking age....21. That whole issue and which read seonepreps.com sickens many,who aspire for Raceland to be better than the rest. A whole weekend and thats the best they got? maybe a chronological 1-10 lists need to be up to show how much bull there is to the cover. Insulting to everyones intelligence, not ragging on sidelinedoc, thats what he was told

Seems strange of what the true facts may be. Did Marcus go self-report the video before the season and get himself in trouble? Who published the videos? .....and timimg is everything. Someone went to the coaches and stated a such video exists? and it gets published week of Fairview game? Think the Raceland Ram family is getting hard to belive on this. That coaching stafff found out when everyone else did. I think most of the time, the truth will set you free. So Raceland School District still takes an out of district student who does all this and condones underage drinking.....after they graduate of course. Once its published its out there, although it removed, if it was truly a mistake,a video apologizing to all offended would be in order.

Typical Maynard, no ones afraid of him...... and we have heard him himself screaming and dropping obscenities in front of small children. So the legal age to drink at Raceland graduation parties is 18.....tell our soldiers that. So as long as if its at a graduation party,promoting the drugs,gay trashing, socially deviate language is ok. Glad we are clear on this.

Running clock, a good game that will inflate some stats,but should be a huge blowout and running clock. Win easily by Raceland. May be a good game to heal a few injured and if that whole Marcus and Bubba video gets any punishment from coach Maynard,would expect this is the game that gets it and not Russell....Not to mention getting his injuries healed, I have no doubt he is a good kid,and Coach Maynard and The Raceland system will get his head and arse wired straight. Wasn't questioning nor do I want to or expect to know what anyones status is. MRI's can be clean,ct-scans clean,follow the finger and no problems or headaches and wind up half retarded in the future. My question is more as a parent? when is enough,enough? And who predicts the lingering effects in the future? I sure bet Ali wished he had hung them up....say after Foreman, than be like he is today. Both these teams played their guts out, and I am sure we are using the latest in computer testing etc they measures more than MRI's may show. An MRI,etc will clear from liability etc., but has 0 effect on predicting lingering effects. Your service to your team is great and in no way questioning, If it was my child with 2 I would dare the coach to consider contact for this season. If the concussion issue was so set in stone as far as diagnosis,time off etc......the NFL wouldn't need to fly these players across the country to be treated. It is just not an exact science and no 2 are alike, but some players are more likely to have them than others and repeatedly. I would rather see no player injured....ever, we all agree on that.

I would be more concerned about the kids future regardless of who it is, who in their right mind would risk a 3rd concussion in any season? or lifetime for that matter? for high school football? whether they play for Raceland,Russell and the Dallas Cowboys.....just not worth it, you read where some with a history of so many concussions can be related to suicide etc.

I guess playing the hard schedule is yet to pay off,but Raceland has a fine team and will do well. The teams played even,congrats to Fairview for playing just a bit better. I have read a few things saying Maynard was outcoached, but as of yet have seen no examples by anyone. GOOD LUCK TO BOTH TEAMS AND HOPE INJURED PLAYERS ARE DOING WELL AND GETTING PROPER TREATMENT

hit a nerve? yes it is Racelands problem that goes beyond football, all homosexuals would be offended,some blacks,and certainly women, not to mention promoting drug use with long neck beer bottles in the background. This problem is above Coach Maynards authority inho. Some serious counciling, and teaching of whats right and wrong and maybe classes in tolerance and respect for women,and most important that drugs are bad. On youtube, it is a wordly problem created at Raceland, so its beyond football. Back to the game,as I heard most of the replay, I do think the teams are about even, a few breaks here and there was the difference. I do hope they play again,should be a great game.

There is no excuse for that,but probably doesn't relate to football. How do you think TJ will handle the video's promoting drug use,degrading women,homosexuals, and language not acceptable in society. Suspension for the Paintsville game would be laughable,as the 2nd string could compete. I know Raceland will do what is right and handle it, but once it is on the internet,youtube,the problem and apologies are needed for the entire world. This is representing Raceland.

LC has come a long way,congrats to them on the win. As the careers of our Russell seniors are winding down,I look for leadership from them to propel us into the playoffs ready to win! At least as far as I know, no Russell kid is putting out videos on youtube like the Raceland Marcus and Bubba videos. Derogatory towards women, language unacceptable in society,promoting drugs, etc. Interesting to see how Coach Maynard handles this...if at all. Maybe if it was a 2-3rd string player they would be kicked off or suspended. I bet we see him on the field when we play.

Once it is online, and there are other multiple videos, with long-neck beer bottles in the background, each video is worse than the first. Player or not,this shouldn't be permitted by Raceland for any student who represents the school and their values. This would go for all school systems. Unbelievable, but sad in any case. There is no way Coach Maynard or the Raceland staff has no knowledge of this. I have read people have flagged the videos as inappropriate and hopefully they will be taken down. Raceland personnel and the parents need to have a good long talk with this young man. What happens will show if Raceland does stand for values, but you can't let a cancer grow by doing nothing.

Just read that Neathercut had another concussion, that is 2 this season, and I hope he is looked at cautiously and perhaps gets checked out and cleared by a good neurologist. These concussions can ruin a person in later life and no game of football is worth dribbling oatmeal off your chin at 35 yrs old or so. May God Bless him and hope he has all the testing necessary, but in no way would I expect him to play for a good amount of time. Crosby the NHL has not played or had serious contact in nearly a year, caution and not getting hit, I can't imagine risking a 3rd concussion, and wish him and the Rams the best. As a parent,if it were my kid, I would seriously cosider dropping football, youhave to think of the future quality of life.

I listened to a replay of the game,and it sounded like Raceland can beat Fairview in a rematch. This game was close till a bad few minutes. I would bet Fairview knows they are at least playing their equals, and know if there is a rematch,it could go either way. Turnovers,dropped td passes,and a few penalties beat Raceland. Good game congrats to both imo

I agree Oldrambler, and I think you are wise not to watch it, and yes kids can do some stupid things, I am sure Coach Maynard will address. This video once you turn it loose on the internet,is there for all to see, it was so inflammatory that it has upset even Raceland fans,who were astonished by the language and content. It was for Raceland to deal with,but once it is published for all to see, and thus be offended, people just want to see if Maynard or the administration at Raceland provide proper punishment. If it were my kid,he would be publishing another video with an apology to all,especially women, and to younger children who we dont want to think drugs are ok or cool. Once it was published on youtube,it is outside of Raceland, and thus people rightfully have an interest in seeing if Coach Maynard controls his team,or do the stars of the team get handled differently. Yes,all schools have a few who act before they think......but,in the long run, why would anyone say such horrible things? I hope, that first of all, a good talk about life in general, I want all kids from all of our schools to succeed. I agree Oldrambler,and you are the #1 an of Raceland, but once that got published on youtube for the world to see, the people offended goes beyond Raceland,therefore people have an interest on what if any punishment is handed down. Raceland is a first class team,with first class fans,coaches and people,in no way does this video represent the fine folk there.

It mentions drugs, degrading females, other unacceptable language. We will see if TJ handles this. I bet possibly suspends for Paintsville and not Russell. If I was the coach or AD, off the team....period. No place for it. Makes the team, Raceland, look awful. Maybe the AD or principal will step in if TJ goes too easy or send wsaz a link and put pressure to handle it with severe punishment.

WARNING! If you watch the video, it has language that is degrading and unacceptable. Coach needs to hand out a suspension in most peoples opinion. Even Raceland fans are calling for it.

It was directed at some Fairview players, with language NBA players get fined 50k for or suspended. Guess the link made it to facebook directed at Fairview player(s). Any coach with courage and a pair would suspend a few games and demand an apology and take the video down.

Bad call against LC when they advanced the ball on the botched punt. Good game, heard officials apologized to LC coaches at halftime . Russell will play better, playoffs is when we need to turn it up a notch.

Someone pointed out a video a Raceland player made on youtube type in Marcus and Bubba go to the Fairview video and listen. If I was the coach, AD, or whatever, warrants a suspension with the language used towards Fairview. In society and life there is no place for this. Coach should suspend for a few games, but being a star on the team, nothing will happen. Congrats to both teams tonight, Raceland fought hard, and hope any injured players are not serious.
