Didn't mean to agree with myself, was trying to reply to someone else's comment. Evidentally, I don't know how to do that yet.

Rowan has some unsung heros on the DL. #68 for instance hardly ever get any recognition and is always tough on the line and comes up with some big plays. #76 Wallace gets more attention, but don't overlook Sanders #68 for Rowan.

Congrats to Timmy Knipp to EKU. He is an exciting player to watch.

Wing and Cross did not play together this summer as Cross had a pulled hamstring from track and didn't play this summer. Rowan was in the final four this summer at the AAU tournament in LEX. The 6'7" Hunter kid is very much improved, don't overlook him. Hunter and Knipp will be a good matchup to watch. Rowan also has a 6'6" kid in Goodpaster that can shoot the three's when he gets hot. Townsend and Cross at the 1 and 2, with Wing and Goodpaster at the 3 and 4 and Hunter at the 5 will be something to watch this year. This is the best shot at Rupp that Rowan Co will have in many years. The Ashland and Rowan Game will be on Wazoo Sports this year, also something to watch. I think Rowan, Ashland, Elliott as 1,2,3.

This is a good call for Wazoo Sports to be bring this game. It will be one of the best matchups on Friday.

Rowan Co for the win. It is payback time for the Mason Co rooking that Rowan was subject to last year, calling back two of Rowan Co's TD's on bogus penalties. Rowan has been wanting this game for a year. Rowan Co with Whatever it Takes!!

:thumb:Rowan Co will roll. The Vikings have a very talented team, to all those nay sayers who says Rowan just has Wing and Cross with no players around them. You must not know what you are talking about. Rowan has sooo much talent, it is amazing.

:thumb: Cross is a running back and a great one, hopefully the Vikings have several seasoned players that have played together since 3rd grade. They should have depth, experience, brawn and brains to go with it, we will have to wait and see, I do know they have been hitting the weight room very hard this year, the guys look great.

:ylsuper: The boys in Green have been working hard all summer and have several returning key players in quarterback Adam Wing, receiver Darryl Cross, and big men on the line with Doug Sanders, Cody Wallace, and Big Dan Prater. It should be an interesting and exciting fall this year.

Again, the 16th region crown is wide open this year with no dominate team. You may laugh now at Rowan Co. and yes Russell did beat them last year, when Russell couldn't beat anybody, but don't under estimate the Vikings this year. The Vikings are very capable of beating Fairview, Rose Hill, Ashland, Menifee, Fleming, West Carter, and East Carter. Rowan Co's JV team last year beat Elliott, so laugh all you want, but just keep your eye on Rowan Co, they will be in the hunt this year for the 16th Regional Title.:ylsuper:

:popcorn::popcorn:I haven't heard any one talking about Rowan Co in the 16th. The Vikings have lots of returning talent this year. Cody Hunter will be one of the best "Big Men" in the Region, Jacob Ginter is great at Forward, totally overlooked, Adam Wing is a strong Junior Forward, and also Corey Hunter-6'6" Junior "Center"will also make some noise this year. Rowan Co beat Fairview last year at Fairview, and Rowan took Ashland into overtime in the Region. The 16th Region is wide open this year, with no strong overpowering team, Rose Hill can definately be beat by the Vikings. Colt Barnhill is a strong talent for East Carter, but the triple towers at Rowan Co should be able to keep him contained. Just a few thoughts, it should be a very interesting year.:popcorn:
