  1. Just thought all of the Kentucky basketball fans out there would like to know about Warren Coopers passing today. He was 90 years old.
  2. Rowan Co vs Lewis Co Boys Finals at Fleming Co, who will win?
  3. :scared:Who will win the matchup tomorrow night in Fleming Co. Should be a good game.:taz:
  4. Beechwood played yesterday in the KY Bank 16th region challenge at the Rowan Co High Schoool and beat a good Fleming Co team very handily. Beechwood looks to be a good team this year.
  5. Yesterdays Ky Bank 16th region challenge was a great success. Games started at 11:00 and teams played all day, girls and boys. This was a great game for both teams. Rowan won the first 20 session 28 to 23. and West Jessamine won the second session 31 to 23 I think. Two pretty evenly matched teams, good practice workout for both teams. Rowan Co still has much work to do, to get to where they want to be. They're not there yet.
  6. :DRowan Co will play West Jessamine Sat night at 8:30 at the Rowan Co 16th Region Challenge, who will win???
  7. Yes, Rowan won with ease. It was a scrimmage and they reset the score after every quarter. First quarter was 20-6, second quarter was something like 28-10, one 2 minute drill was 7 to 0. They played several quarters and Rowan didn't have any problems.
  8. :cool:It was a great game, Rowan Co gave it their all and made it more interesting than most people thought. The Vikings had a great season, and have nothing to hang their heads about. Good luck to Knox Central for next week, with Bell Co 60 to 7 over Lawrence Co tonight, sounds like Knox may need some luck.:walk:
  9. :ylsuper:Well, Rowan Co is definately the underdog in this one, but that is what dreams are made of. These players have worked their whole lives for this moment, good luck to Rowan Co, Go Big Green!! Cinderella stories do happen.:ylsuper:
  10. :popcorn:Good Lord, I'm ready too. Can't wait for basketball. Here's to a great season.
  11. :sssh:Well Rowan Co might not be as big and physical as Knox Central, but they don't have to be. Rowan is very quick and fast and has one of the best kickers in the state. I hope Rowan's coaches don't try the trickery stuff that they did with Mason that backfired on them. If Rowan would have played basic football, they would have beaten Mason Co. Darryl Cross is a great running back but he is not the fastest guy on the team, there are lots of weapons on the RC team, they may have to use them all, but I still am going with RC, and it will be an epic battle.:scared:
  12. :ylsuper:Can't wait for basketball to start. It should be a good day of competetions!
  13. :clap:Hey Retired, you were close 63-20 Rowan Co. Darryl Cross had a huge game, Wing played great, Hodge, Williamson, McClurg, Wallace, and Saunders were all ready for this one, here is looking to next week Knox Central will be a much better competetion.
  14. :taz:Who will win next week, both teams have been looking forward to this game all summer. Game is at Rowan Co next Friday, I think the Vikings have the edge. Too much talent on the Rowan Co team.:thumb:
  15. Way to go Vikings, here's looking to Knox Central next week.
  16. :ylsuper:Yes I think the Vikings will have a great game hosting this playoff competition. Everyone needs to bundle up, it is going to be cold, cold, cold. You know anything can happen when things get cold, but the Vikings should be able to put this one away.:thumb:
  17. I think Greenup Co will be in the hunt, too. I don't think they need to be overlooked. Big, strong athletic team. They could make some noise this year.
  18. Trey Williams is #5 in the 16th regions pre-season top 10 picks. I think Greenup Co will make some noise this year also. They are a good sized athletic team, don't overlook them.
  19. :thumb:Well I have to say I will go with the boys in green.
  20. Who do you think will win this one on Friday, Senior Night for Rowan Co???
  21. :clap:Congratulations to the Vikings!! Finally, they got a big win that they needed for folks to see the talent that this team truly has. I have said all along that Rowan is a very talented team and it it more than just Cross and Wing, although they are the two that get the most press, there is a whole team of talented players that have played together since 3rd and 4th grade. Williamson has more speed than Cross, Hodge is always a clutch player, Rowans defensive line #68 and #76 will be greatly missed next year. Way to go boys in Green, enjoy and get ready for Montgomery Co, another good matchup and challenge.:thumb:
