Conner 2009/2010
Connor will be exciting to watch in the 9th next season. Next season, I am excited to see Ryle, Holmes, Highlands and Scott from No. Ky. I also really want to see Mason County, Clark County, Scott County, Warren Central, and Eastern.

Up and Coming Big Men in KY
I know that Travis plays baseball for Boone County. He would seem to add depth to that Bulldogs team. A good player. I wonder who is no longer on the team? They seemed to be pretty solid. I guess things change the closer we get to the live recruiting period.

Jack Stewart really seems to be a good up and coming player in No. KY. Good luck to him and the KY Firebirds.

Maxpreps Pre-Summer C/O 2010 100 to Watch
Euton is a very solid player. But, I saw Pittman get after him a few times in the Holmes-SC game last season. Euton was not to effective in the game IMO. I think Euton has a lot of work to do before he is successful on the next level, I dont think he fits in the post at the next level, and he is a tad slow IMO to play a 2, maybe even a 3 against some of the bigger schools. However, dont take this the wrong way, I do think he can make it. Just has to work, and he'll do that.

All the stats are great! Sounds like a good kid and kid player. I'll have to get out to watch him this coming season. I think it's especially good, and to be commended on the solid ACT score.

I agree with you here. I personally think he is more skilled than Euton. Sewell has better all around game than Dakotah, even though he can flat fill it up. But I think Ricardo is possibly the best guard in the state. Pittman is also a stud inside. I havent seen much of Guyn, but most people I talk to say he's one of the best. I think you could put Sewell up there with some of the best, but i dont think he's better.

Jackson is a good player. Sewell seems to be the catalyst on his AAU team. Atleast when I have seen them play. Does anyone know, does Jackson have good leadership abilities? He has a lot of names on that Scott County team, he'll have to pull them all together next winter.

Conner 2009/2010
Sounds like Connor will have another weapon in Stephens then. What would the projected lineup look like? I know Flesch, Avery, Hodges, Robinson. Will those 4 start with Stephens at the 2 and push Avery to the 3?

I know Dakota can stroke it from the perimeter. But, I dont know that he could hang out on the perimeter as a 2 on the D1 level. I think he would struggle with the quickness. Now, if he could play the 3, where he could go inside/outside, I could see him doing more of that.

Which 4 are you referring to? I would say he has more upside than Euton for sure. But, I think Jackson, Pittman, Johnson and Guyn have a pretty good skill set. Guyn is rated a 3 star and is the only ranked by the Rivals 100. I wouldnt rate Sewell above those 4, but I would rate him right there with them.

I love these 3 teams to compete this year. I would add Jalyn Daniels to the GRC team for depth. Should be fun and exciting to watch this coming season!

Conner 2009/2010
I think if the juniors to be, Flesch and Robinson, come back healthy the possiblities are endless. Robinson is a strong post player inside with a wide frame. He likes to get in there and mix it up and isnt afraid of being physical. Flesch brings quickness, incredible defense, and ability to score a bit. It cant be just those two guys though. Obviously they would have to work in tandem with Hodges, and Avery. Hodges is a good player with the potential to be very good or even great. His 6'7" frame allows him to do things that some others cant. I personally feel like he needs to play the 3 or the 4. I dont know that the kid is a 5 (or, center). Let Robinson do the deed down low. As for Avery, his game speaks for itself. The kid is a really nice player. I watched him a couple times for the KY Players and he can just play basketball. He knows the game, can get to the rim, and has a decent outside shot. He is exciting to watch. Im not as familiar with Stephens... fill me in, please. Connor should do fairly well in the 9th

After Eutons falling out with UK, do folks still believe that he will play on the D1 level?

Up and Coming Big Men in KY
Another big boy in No. KY that will be able to play in the paint. Sounds good. I didn't see him take any jump shots, but he did look strong down low. Good rebounder too.

Up and Coming Big Men in KY
Wow. 32 rebounds in one game is very impressive! The bluegrassinsider has Matt St. John listed as the 4th best player in the state behind Gibbs, Pittman, and Guyn. Rivals no longer has him listed in their tops for big men, but he sounds like a good player. Hopefully he'll progress even more this year and get some good looks.

2009 King of the Bluegrass Field
I would really love to see Holmes Highschool (Covington) play against Eastern Highschool (Louisville). The 3 seniors of Holmes: Elijah Pittman, Ricardo Johnson & Jeremiah Johnson Vs. The 3 juniors of Eastern: Remy Abell, Arman Marks & Lionell Gains (Not sure about the spelling of his first name???) I would really like to see it.

I wonder about Zeke Chapman and his desire to come to Kentucky to play ball. I have read that if Kentucky wants him, he is a lock. But, I also read something about him looking at Arizona and some other schools. I wonder what good ol' Rex thinks???

Up and Coming Big Men in KY
I am glad to hear he's doing well. He is one of the kids that I want to see more of. I hadnt heard much of him before I saw him in a game this AAU season, and he appeared to be very talented. Good luck and good will to the kid.

Up and Coming Big Men in KY
Speaking of big men in No. KY, I heard that Jake Thelen out of CovCath scored 17 pts. and had quite a few rebounds against Vinny Zollo's Indy Elite team this weekend. If this is true, that is good news. Congrats to the kid on a good game.

Up and Coming Big Men in KY
How did Jalyn Daniels of Clark County perform this past weekend at the State AAU tourney? I didnt get to watch much of Team Kentucky, how did they do? I've heard they are doing well. Good for them.

Does anyone know if Zeke will be the guy in the post next year for Dixie? What does the competition look like up there for him? The kid appears to be real strong.

Beechwood 2009/2010
Larry Bird is one of the greats of all time. Loved his shot and the way he played the game. I'll never forget the infamous steal on the inbound pass and the shot that followed. WOW!

State AAU Tourney next weekend
Funny how you say this team is stacked, but the "more talented" players dont get the same opportunities. Who exactly are you referring to that is more talented than the other players?

Up and Coming Big Men in KY
Stauffer is a Stud. He is constantly working hard on the court. He seems to record good stats and refuses to be outworked. He will be a tops big man in NKY next high school season along with Earls, Geisler, O'Connor, Pittman (who will likely be the best), and any others you wanna throw out there.

State AAU Tourney next weekend
UCon Jack, sounds like you have a personal endeavor. If you look at all my posts from the past, I rep many of the really good players in NKY. Trammel, Pike, Flesch, Brown, Hodges, Stewart, Smith, Barnett, Geisler, Stauffer, and I also include guys like Gilbert, Schuette, Gaines, and Shanklin, Pawsett, Stenzel, and Daniels who are not from NKY. Shall I go on?. My knowledge, especially of the 16's, reaches farther than the bounds of Northern Kentucky. Does yours? You just bash the Bulldogs, sounds like a personal thing. I give props to any AAU players, and/or coaches, and/or organizations that are all about the kids. I try to remain objective and give the players their do. Kudos to the Shining Stars, DSAS, NKY Bulldogs, Team Kentucky, Lexington Ice, WKY Elite, KY Players, Storm, Lightning and any other team and/or organization that wants to help the kids improve their game.
