When was the last time Beechwood went to the regional?

This can't be right. Dave Cantrall's Atari says Holmes is not that good. They have not played a very good schedule and when they do win they only win by less than 10 points which means they are no good at all. What are these people thinking? They have only beaten 3 teams in the top 10 and it was only by a combined 25 points.

Holmes in the 9th. What a great story this would be as this team that has snuck all the way up to 12th in Cantrall's rating. Maybe just maybe they have a shot to win the 9th and if they are lucky a game in Lexington.

The CocCath student section of old was great but they have proven to be front runners and have disappeared this year. Holy Cross for a small school has a wonderful cheering section. I agree the Holmes section has disappeared as well compared to the late 70's early 80's sections.

I am a 1980 grad of Holmes. Doug Schloemer was the best scorer of the basketball I have seen as far as high school goes. Dicky Beal was the best playmaker and game changer to play in the 9th region. I am sure Doug will tell you Dicky was the difference in Holmes run to the heartbreaking loss in 78. The 80 run was cut short due to the format and the late Friday night game against Ashaland, a fate that could upend Holmes again this year. Not complaining it is what it is and I would not change it. I would also throw Scott Draud and Jack Jennings in the mix. The second tier would include McKinley, Dawn and Dollman (sp) are a few more of my favorite players from the 9th region.
