Thoughts and Prayers from McCreary Central.

Was Mills the head Coach at Berea a few years back? If so he did a good Job. Would probally stay at Powell Co. for a while.

Clinton Co. has a new Coach. Someone from Tenn.

No it's not worth it. Still in our Area we have several Schools that scrimmage more than 2 times. Go to any of the Team Camps and most of the time is spent scrimmaging other Schools.

When will Whitaker be the Head Coach at Letcher Central? 1 year, 2 years or never??

You and I must be the only ones who have heard of Watts and Roark. That's OK maybe they will sneak up on some people.

I've been told Justin Bozeman will join the McCreary Central Staff. He has been a head Coach and will be a good one again.

I know it's hard to understand. I got my info. from a Coach in that area the day before this was posted ob BGP.

Rumor Mill, Hillard will Coach 1 more year and Mike will take over. Mike will do a good Job for Letcher Central. Good Luck to him and his family.

For some schools things didn't change with goning to the 6 Class system. McCreary Central is in the same Dist. as when they started football in 1987. Bell, Rock, Knox, Madison So. added to replace Cawood. It didn't help or hurt us. We have 20 more students than Taylor Co. in 3A and not many more than Garrad Co. Sure could have helped the travel had we been in that Dist.

How does anyone see the Wayne Co. vs. McCreary central game, next year. I know the havn't played in a long time. Good to see Wayne back on the schedule.

My Opinion: Sometimes it's hard to look at a player so young and say what he will be. Tyson Williams at McCreary Central passes the Look Test. In-coming FR. 6' 4" 240 probally will play TE/ DE. Great size, Great hands and a good work ethic.

I agree Bell will have a very good line. I think McCreary Central will have a good line. Vince Staten 6'3" 280, James Ball 6' 185, Rick Triplett 6' 220, Steven Snead 6' 195, Terrance Snyder 6' 250 and Pat Perryman 6'5 240, Tyson Williams 6'4" 245 and Cosy Smith 6'3" 225 at TE, Should be very good.

Jamie Payne, will be a good head coach.

Sometimes Moral Victory and Close is the only thing you can get to build on. I don't think KC went from 0-10 to world beaters in a year. I dare say they had some Moral Victorys and close games before they really started to turn things around. Good Luck this year and we'll show up Sept. 25.

Time will tell, you people always want to find the neg. things to talk about, the score was not 53 to 6 . It was 20-16 at the half when Watts was held out the 2nd half. Think what you want, we'll see on Sept. 25. Good Luck to Knox and we'll see you then.

Aaron Watts 6' 2" 205, this kid will take your head off.

Zack Roark 6' 2 205, rushed for over 1000 yds last year and missed at least one and 1/2 games, Getting a lot of looks from D-1 schools.

I really feel McCreary downfall last season was the injury bug. 4-2 record when it started. 9 starters out in one game, The last 4 regular season games Watts and Roark out in some of those 3 to 4 other players out in all 4 games. Who could overcome all that. The Def. did not play up to par with Watts and Rusty Neal out. The Def. will be very much improved and the Off. will put points on the Board. MC could be very good.

Dist. 7 in 4A has to be the toughest in 4A Football. Bell, Rock Knox, McCreary and Madison So.

There is a lot of Help for Watts and Roark. Vince Staten 6' 3" 290, Terranc Snyder 6' 245. Several kids in the 175- 200 lb. range, too many to name. This can be a good Team.

I think the Coaching Staff will be disapointed if they don't play above 500. However remember this is a real tough schedule. When you play in the best 4A Dist. in the state, then add Edmonson Co. Wayne Co. , Lynn Camp and pick up an up and coming Powell Co. team, that is pretty rough. But from what I've seen they will be up to the task.
