  1. Saw in today's paper where UK only had 2 comittments for 2010, everyone except Miss St. had 11+ . It looks like UK are trying to get the 4 and 5 star recruits and missing out on some good KENTUCKY Kids. Good Luck to Mr. Fugate on this season and all 4 at UT. Just hope it don't come back to Bite Us.
  2. IMO, Lex. Cath, Rock and Knox are thinking where do we fit in or do we just roll over and let these 2 play for the trip to the Championship Game.
  3. Aaron Watts 6' 2" QB/ FS 275 Bench 4.6 40. Will play DB or Receiver, a lot of interest no offers YET! Zack Roark 6' 2" 215 TB/SS Bench 315 4.6 40, a lot of interest No offers Yet. Both will play somewhere. McCreary Central High School both 1000+ Rushers in same backfield.
  4. Tyson Williams from McCreary Central will be an outstanding Big Man before he Graduates. Tyson started some for McCreary Central this past season. He is 6' 4" 240 8th Grader. Will probally be 6' 6" or 6' 7". Dosen't care to mix it up with the older kids. Tyson has a lot of skill, just needs experience.
  5. Conj: to these players from Bell Co. McCreary Central had 2 players invited to the Ultimate 100 in Atlanta. Aaron Watts and Vince Staten.
  6. I also saw Davenport at the Score 6 Camp. He was fast, looked good. Our Dist. was well repesented, Watts from McCreary was there also. Conj: to Corey. It's good to see kids from Eastern Ky. show up good in these Camps. It's also good for our Dist. I'll always pull for our Dist. Good Luck Corey.
  7. Now that the Wt. program is over, I can say from what I have Observed, this will be bt far the strongest team McCreary Central has ever put on a feild of any type. Just a few lMax Wts. Vince Staten 415 lbs. Bench 500 Sqt. Zack Roark 315 Bench 405 Sqt. Preston Shoopman 275 Bench 415 Sqt. Aaron Watts 275 Bench 405 Sqt. These are just a few. Good Job. Many more 250 + bench. Go Raiders!
  8. The only way to get a correct time is to use electroniv timers. Watts in no way a speed Deamond by any stretch of the imigination. What makes him so tough to taclke is he changes direction and dosn't loose anything. On Def. he reads well and anticipates well, and gets a great jump on the ball. I HAVE SEEN HIM RUN AWAY FROM PEOPLE WHO ARE SUPPOST TO BE SPEED DEAMONDS.
  9. You are right, he did look good. This kig is a player no matter what he is playing. He can run a 5.1 backwards. Ankle is better.
  10. They both are quicker than timed: Watts and Roark both are legit 4.6 in 40. Got in a bad timing group. + Watts coming off ankle injury.
  11. Why?? Why?? Did UK not Offer this kid. cONj: We're close to Knoxville and will watch hid progress.
  12. :isurrender: I'm not wrong! Look at the Football Facilities at McCreary Central compared to the rest of our District, or compair to any High school around no matter what class. We're way behind. I was at all Football Games , Jv Games included, I saw the Super. 1 time and the AD 1 time. I don't call that support. Maybe our new Principal will support Football more than those in the past.
  13. Johnson at Letcher Central, comes from a great line of QB. He will benefit from Mike Whitaker Coaching him.
  14. Looks like someone else knows how things are in Raider land. I think you answered your own question. Raider Rob is AD and Basketball Coach, guess who get's all the goodies.!The Administration, from the TOP down dosn't care about Football. This causes a lot of problems between the Basketball and Football Staffs.
  15. If Rock beats Boyle it sure would open things up in the 4A East.
  16. McCreary had 11 players go to UK's Friday Night Lights Camp, last night. 2 players ran a 4.6 in 40. Neither was Watts or Roark they were Dylan Ross R / RB and Preston Shoopman R/RB . Way to go Guys.
  17. Wouldn't have to be week 2. They could open play week 0 and be open week 2 and play Wayne Co. week 3. Goning back and looking at last year schedule it will IMO be week 2.
  18. Mc Creary still has 20 to 21 kids showing up for Wts. and Plyo's. I remember a time when you couldn't get 4 or 5 out there. I think I was told they have 12 goning to Uk camp this week and 12 goning to Hawg Heven in July. Good Job.
  19. When does Rock play Wayne Co. ? How do these teams stack up with each other?
  20. Great Coaches take what they have to work with and get the most out of it. This includes the Money comitted to the program, the support they have from the Administration, the Facilities they have to work with, and how bad the community want Football. Some Great Coaches have moved on because of the like of Success, when they had no chance to succeed. These same Coaches would have been very successful in Different situations.
  21. Conj: to Coach Mcglone, I've watched your teams play for years. You truley deserve this honor.
  22. Don't know how you can say played only14 kids. when they have about 20 coming back that started a least one game. McCreary Program is in better shape now than it's ever been in. Most Teams, even the good ones play their best players 2 ways. Go to the State finals and watch. Some people are never happy with the players or Coaching Staff. I appreciate everything McCreary Central Staff has done for my Son. Go Raiders. Beat Rock or Knox or Both, then the knock will be , why didn't you beat Bell.
  23. Somethings to consider here. 4 years ago when Gay took over for Aurthur MCCreary had 22 kids dressed out the last game of the season, 4 of the 22 were from the Job Corp, that means 18 McCreary Kids dressed out. McCreary had won 4 games in 5 years and never been in the Play-offs.I think Coach Gay ans his staff saw the major problem being numbers. The McCreary Staff took the aproach that every kid out for football would play at some leval. Therefore, not much was put on winning at the JV leval. Results: 40 + dressed out for the last 3 years. Look for 40 + this year, also this year McCreary will play a Fr. schedule. Looks like progress to Me. McCreary has made the play-offs 2 years in a row, goning for number 3. Thank You.:dancingpa
