As stated before, the 8th grade knights team in the tournament is the B team and the Jets lost to the 7th grade Knights team (Moeves) twice who didn't play the tournament. I don't understand the post?????
I think it's a huge double standard to say you shouldn't record/film games you are not playing in, but it's okay to give a tape to a team that is playing a common opponent. Doesn't make sense!
What are the rules, if any, involving the use of video to scout basketball games?
In other words, is a coach allowed to videotape a game in which his team is not playing, to be used for scouting purposes????
RomanEmpire is absolutely correct. There is NO rule that governs a kid in middle school regarding AAU and High School sports. If so, there were many who violated last year alone.
The 8th grade Knights (not the team in the league) and 7th grade Knights haven't played but typically the 8th grade team wins by 20. No doubt the 7th grade team is good and are in fact one of the best in the state, however, except for the U14 NKY Knights and U14 NKY Tarheels, there are going to be few 8th grade teams that can beat them!
This was the 7th grade Knights. Not sure how that game "just gets away" from an 8th grade team playing a 7th grade team regardless of who they're missing.
Cooper Pratt is Camp Ernst's best player. He's 6' 2" and growing very lean just not overly aggressive.
As I understand it, McNeil is playing varsity and not playing any 8th grade minutes. Moeves currently is playing 8th grade, but that could change once the freshman and JV schedules start.
As it stands, Conner will be a tough out for any NKY 8th grade teams.
Campbell County 8th beat Camp Ernst last night 65 - 47???? It was a 15 pt+ game. After Conner took Campbell County to the woodshed last Tuesday, they have been playing well!
Conner and Holmes actually played each other in the finals in 6th and 7th. Campbell County played Conner in the finals in the 8th. It was a 2pt game at half, Conner ended up winning by 10. Great game!
