  1. Could have been worse! Conner played well.
  2. I'm sure Stanley dominated! He is very fun to watch and very few, if any, are able to contain him at that age.
  3. My son shoots left but is a righty and he plays the point @ 5' 7". Close but no cigar.
  4. If true, this should be dealt with swiftly and justly. However, as soon as I saw who her attorney is.........doubt crept in.
  5. The center for Turkeyfoot and Stanley play on the same AAU team, so there may have been a game inside the game. I only saw the 2nd half of the 7th grade Conner v. Campbell Co, but this was one of the most exciting middle school basketball games I've seen in 3 years. #3 from Conner kept hitting big shot after big shot. The 8th grade game got out of hand quickly. 72 - 30 was the final. Campbell Co was 2 totally different teams from Monday night to Tuesday night.
  6. 7th grade struggled to keep the lead in the 2nd half but pulled out the W. In the 8th grade game, Hess and Holbrook played great games! Geiman and Wood had 4 apiece. They looked to still be in football mode. Tonight will be a tough game @ Conner.
  7. Camels 6th, 7th and 8th defeated IHM tonight at CCMS. 6th graders won 41 - 27 7th graders won 50 - 47, I believe 8th graders won 50 - 36. CCMS is at Conner tonight.
  8. I'm sure they played everyone. I'm not putting any one down and I don't want to take anything away from the Boone Co All-Stars, the NKYFL only played kids one way and Boone played some of their better athletes on both sides of the ball. Boone had more of an All-Star team and the NKYFL had a "make everybody happy team". Congrats to the BCPWFL All-Stars and their coaches. They grinded out and took advantage of opportunities to get the win! Both team's players played their butts off, unfortunately, one team wins and the other loses. There were alot of kids on that field whose names we will hear alot over the next 4 years. Scruggs Beal Boston Harris Just to name a few!:thumb:
  9. That trophy was actually the NKYFL MVP trophy. The final score was BCPWFL 40 - NKYFL 30. The score went back and forth through the first 3 quarters with the NKYFL leading at half, but a turnover by NKYFL late in the 3rd proved too much to overcome. BCPWFL coaches played to win the game and NKYFL coaches got everyone in. For the NKYFL, Dylan Huff returned a kickoff 75 yards for a TD. Zach Harris scored twice and Jonathan Scruggs scored once - all rushing TD's. Zach Harris was named the NKYFL Offensive player of the game, Boston was the BCPWFL's Offensive player of the game - scoring thrice on the ground.
  10. Boston is a stud! Fast and hard runner. Impressive!!
  11. From the Red Devils (CCRD) Wrobleski & Hergott - Highlands Geiman, Wood, Harris, Kramer - Campbell Co.
  12. It's Schweitzer, not Switzer. That dude coached the Cowboys back in the day.
  13. The 2 QB's are Ackerson from Bellevue and Geiman from the Red Devils. They will platoon every 3 plays. However, last night Geiman ran the offense the entire practice???? The Backs are Harris (Red Devils), Scruggs (Bengal Tigers), Warren (Erlanger Lions) and Wood (Red Devils). I might be missing one?? Wood is in at fullback the others are tailbacks.
  14. That's always a concern! The game may not be as much of a concern as the actual practices. Both sides of the ball have alot of talent.
  15. Only losing to the Conner team by 8 this early in the season - not too shabby! Who were the standouts for St. Mary's?
  16. JD, I think there should be All Star games, I just think the makeup of the coaching staff and roster should make sense based on how teams finish the year.
  17. #13 is Geiman, not Geimar. I heard that there would be additional players from CCRD at the practice tonight???? Also, I'm confused by a couple of things.... 1) Why would the two teams who made it to the Superbowl, not have far and away the most players on the roster? 2) Why wouldn't the coaches from the two teams who made it to the Superbowl not be co-head coaches? 3) Why would some of your most explosive offensive players not be playing offense? The practice last night was somewhat head shaking:confused: :ohbrother:
  18. Oh I thought you were wanting Hoops to start quicker:D Let everyone in and shorten the season by one game. Aligning the districts is very important. Alot of districts are out of the way or overly loaded, IMHO:deadhorse:
  19. In playing the game the best I can LRCW, I would have to agree with BigSpikes - A guy like Chris Petersen or Chip Kelly could be great fits.
  20. I don't see Florida needing to worry about that. No one in their right mind (who is currently successful at a BCS program) takes that job.
  21. How bad would it be to 1) Re district - Make the districts more equal in terms of #'s 2) Only top 3 teams in each district make playoffs with #1's getting byes ?????
  22. Typically 10 teams in each division - except for Pee Wee, I think there's 6 or 7 and Seniors only had 9 this year. The stands were loaded with people but not jam packed. Definitely a lot of people watching all 4 games!
  23. With the athleticism of the Bengal Tigers and Red Devils, I'm not sure how the NKYFL CAN'T win. What will be the practice schedule for the NKYFL All-Stars? Who will coach?
  24. NKYFL Superbowl @ Dixie PeeWee Division - Spartans defeated the Red Devils in OT Midget Division - Red Devils defeated the Spartans Junior Division - Spartans defeated the Erlanger Lions Senior Divison - Red Devils 26 - Bengal Tigers 14 Zach Harris was easily the MVP of the game scoring 3 TD's. Thomas Wrobleski also added a rushing TD. Garrett Geiman had 2 interceptions in the game to bring his career total Super Bowl interceptions to 4 (1 as a midget, 1 as a junior and 2 as a senior). Not sure how, but Jonathan Scruggs was named the MVP of the NKYFL. The kid is easily the fastest kid in the league, I'm not sure that equates to league MVP. Oh well, Scruggs got the MVP, Harris took home the gold ball. GO DEVILS! :dancingpa :dancingpa :dancingpa :dancingpa :dancingpa
