Raiders are up 42-0 at half time. That's 6 scores in one half and we have had 3 TD's called back. Thanks HB it's good to get one right. LoL! To the credit of the Raiders coaching staff, they have been subbing in the JV kids ( some of them Freshmen) in spots since the beginning of the 2nd quarter! Go Raiders finish strong!

At the end of the 1st quarter McCreary leads 22-0. McCreary has scored on every possession and in one quarter has scored half of my predcted scores!

Well just a few more hours to game time. Heck yeah let's get our 1st win Raiders!

Thanks HB he is a good Kidd and has started to work hard. He is a 7th grader and is 5'7" and weighs 150lbs. He did weigh 180 at the end of the school year last year but really worked hard all summer. We are all ready setting up his workout schedule for this off season to get him ready for his 8th grade year. Time flies to fast and he will be in high school before I know it. I wish he would slow down. Sorry everyone for high jacking this thread to talk about my son but I'm a proud father and the thread is a little slow right now! End of high jacking! The Raider 7th grade team beat the Southwestern 7h grade team tonight. This is a good omen as I stand by my prediction. I will also say that HOP Jr had a great game, probably his best if the season as I didn't see him miss one block. Good job son I am proud of you! Go Raiders!

Heartbreaker I think McCreary is capable of scoring 3 times per half and pitching a shutout and the key word is capable. The dople kid touched the ball 6 times against Pineville for 80+ yards according to the paper and that was in a 6 point loss. What happens if he touches it 20 times. I am telling you the kid is apt to score everytime he touches it. Oh, yes I will get on here, this is just my opinion and sometimes it's wrong unless you talk to my wife and then it's always wrong. Trenchmaster, all I can say is the word disappointed may not be the correct word but the one I used for lack of a better one. I can tell you I am never disappointed in those kids who bust their butt everyday in the heat, rain and sometimes cold.......... Win lose or draw I am always proud of those young men and love every one of them! I guess sometimes we as adults set expectations for our athletic programs and we use the word disappointed when those programs don't reach our expectations and I guess that's human nature. I will be thrilled with a win even if it's by 1 point and I will be even happier for players! Mostly I was just trying to stress how much I believed the Raiders would roll in this game and I hope that I am right but like I said I will be proud of the Raiders either way!

Now HBer make sure you read all the posts. I started with 4 scores and then posted later that I had watched game film on Knott and changed it to 6 but said I would be shocked and disappointed if it wasn't at least 4. So, nothing has changed with what I said. Besides if I was throwing those two in the mix it would be more like 10 scores! As I watch each game I pay attention to the little things ( because a wise man once told me "if you pay attention to the little things the big things will take care if themselves!") and McCreay has improved on the little things each week. That with watching game film on Knott is how I came up with my prediction!

Seems like the Raiders had a great practice and all the kids are confident in their ability win as I talked to them at school today. So, my prediction still stands as IMO the Raiders will win by at least 4 scores and as many as 6 scores! At times on here I post just to keep a positive air toward the Raider program as it has already been established that I bleed maroon and gold but this prediction is my true opinion and as stated earlier if my prediction isn't at least close to spot on then I will be greatly fooled and verydisappointed! LoL, you are to obsessed with kissing Coach Jones. On a bet like that I would have to have a kittle more of a sure thing and in a football game there is too many variables such as injuries. I am 85% confident that my prediction is spot on but I guess I am too much of a coward to take it on because I would hate to kiss Rob as much as he would hate me to. LoL! Go get'em guys!

Taylor would beat Knott by 50. IMO! There is only one way to find out who is right and that is to wait until Friday night around 9;30 when the game is over. Now I know I may exaggerate some I have already admitted that I am bias as I bleed maroon and gold but as serious as I can be if McCreay does not win by at least 4 scores (24-28 points) I will not only be shocked I will be super super disappointed! Well Hearbreaker I know I predicted that McCreary would beat Knott by 4 TD's but I have changed my mind. After watching film on Knott Co I will have to say McCreary will win by 35 or 40 points. I will not expand any further as it is not my intent to hurt anyone's feelings but just give my honest opinion!

By the way HB if you decide to go to this game please let ne know as I would surely love to meet you. I have met several BGP'ers over the years and I am now friends with all of them and would definately like to add you to the list!

Well I know you think I say the things I do just because I am a die hard Raider fan and to some extent that is true but I also know football pretty good and McCreary has a couple of weapons that can hurt you if the offense gets in sink. The only thing that is hurting ts fundamental things that can be fixed with good coaching and reps and I know that Coach Smith and his staff will get things in sink and I believe they will do it by Fridays game with Knott Co. The weapons I'm talking about are Arlis Dopel who should be getting 25-35 touches a game because he can score from anywhere at anytime, he has that much speed. Tyson Williams who can catch just about anything he gets his hands on and is a load the QB Dylan Barnett runs the ball well and has a great arm needs to settle down and be confident in himself so he can get into a rithym. It is my opinion that the Raiders have improved each week an as fans we get frustrated because we want our team to win every week but as a coach I know it takes time and Rome wasn't built over night. I just think this will all come together this Friday and when it does the Raiders will win by 4 TD's and that will be without the cheerleaders dressing out. LoL! Go get'em guys!

Not sure where you are going with that but myself or CK has never said anything but positive stuff about Coach Derrick Smith and his staff. CK was just posting out if frustration because he wants the Raiders to win. As far as experience I can only speak for myself, I coached for 18 years before coaching at MCHS and one of those years was coaching the PKJCC Bulldogs to a national championship! The last 7 years I have coached 5 years at the high school 1 year at the middle school and last year I helped coach my sons 5th and 6th grade team. I personally have enjoyed every year I have coached and have no regrets and now feel 24 years of coaching football is plenty. I am one who hopes Derrick Smith coaches for the next 15 years as I believe he is a good coach and in time will be a great coach. First of all you just put down your own players by saying that they are not the best athletes. Secound yiu put down the athletes that played on those past teams by saying they werent successful and you coached those kids in middle school sometime it's better just to let stuff go. My suggestion is to focus on the season at hand with the current team which is loaded with talented kids. I support the Raiders through thick and thin but that doesn't mean I don't get frustrated at times. I have a son that will be at the high school in a couple of years and I want him to be a part of a successful program and ge will definately be a raider so let's keep working hard to get the program at the highest level possible and that all starts with the here and now which means getting ready for Knott Co and getting a big win!

Well, I'm not trying to put Knott down at all but they just lost 50-6 to a team that only won 2 games last year. I haven't seen them play personally but I have watched the Raiders play twice and their defense keeps improving each week and Friday night their offense showed signs of getting it together. If the keep working on the fundamentals especially on offense and get it together by Friday then they win this game by 4 TD. IMO. If Knott is better then I think they are then you may be right but I just don't think so. Anyway that is why they play the game. Go get'em guys!

Well, I think this is the one the Raiders are looking for to get some confidence and get things going in the right direction. I predict McCreary wins by 4 scores!

Banker I think CK is just a little frustrated as I know he would never put the kids down but seems you are now on the reverse side of what you did to him for years when I told you that all you were doing was hurting the kids and the program but you never let up you kept on hammering the program and the coaching staff. There is an old saying don't dish it out if you can't take it. Now about the game: the defense played pretty good but Pineville's QB was hurting them early until he hurt his knee, man that kid is very tuff ( I hope he heals up quick and I wish him the best). After he got hurt the defense seemed to handle things pretty good. The offense still seems out of sink but we got a glimse of what they can do when they are in sink as they had one very good drive when everything came together and they drove the ball down Pinville's throat and put it in the endzone. The offense needs to keep repping and getting things in sink all the time which I am sure they will do. As a true Raider fan it's hard to watch losses like Friday nights loss but all you can do is cheer them on and get ready for the next week. I am sure the Raiders will get their first win next Friday. Go get'em guys!

Well just a few hours until kickoff and we will see if McCreary can bounce back from last weeks disappointing loss and beat a desent Pineville team. I think the Raiders will be ready for the task and win by a TD. Go get'em boys!
