Ricky Buckler from Bellevue has to at least be mentioned in this thread.

Barrett was the lead of batter last year, and the games I went to he was very good at it, he could definitly rank in the top ten as well, he's even improved over the summer.

No, not hands down at all, that was a very talented class, and I bet the best player on every team was about equal, most teams have two great players.

Bryan was much better. He was quicker, stronger, great defender, and a pretty good shooter... Love just reaped all the benefits created by Bryan

There is no excuse for a Bellevue kid to ever be tired. They condition more than anyone. He might get tired because jsut maybe he is being a L word when it comes to running also? Hmmm... :sssh:

Austin Kessen sat the bench his junior year? How'd he turn out? Also when you only get a chance to shoot two three's a game, a good shooter has a hard time finding a groove when 21(young) looks right at them and fakes, then continues to shoot... Thomas is a baseball player? So is the best player on your team in Hunter Jones. Bad arguement..

Thomas Barret can definitly shoot, don't know what you're watching, been shooting three's since his sophomore year, and if your saying chris gregory can't shoot, then you don't know basketball.

That is not the truth, Most of the points from this kid come from Jones' driving and getting double teamed then either has a wide open lay up or a easy stick back.. Bellevue has two or three guards that can shoot rather well... So when this kid gets two or three defenders on him and he still throws up a shot, it's just not a team-oriented player. Sorry

I'm not attacking anyone, I've been to all three games, and just not impressed. He doesn't play defense, and he shoots everytime he touches it. Just not impressed with the team as a whole either. The program was coming around the past few years too.

It's a combination of both. I was there and from what I saw Bellevue has to find guard play. Jones, I believe had close to twenty and ten for Bellevue, but the guards couldn't get the ball up the floor two straight possisions all game. I didn't see a guard use both hands decently all night. The defense does get after it though, there very scrappy and fast, but the other forward, Young is slow and lazy IMO. I think it's going to be a rough first year for Coach Herald and co unless they find a true guard. But congrats to W-town, they pressured the guards and didn't let up all night. Bellevue was down 20 plus, but made a comeback to ten, but W-town didn't miss more than three free throws all night.

Very sloppy by both teams, Jones might of played one half all together sat out a lot for foul trouble. Had a few nice passes, but Bellevue just couldn't get any guards to bring it up the floor. Young had a nice performance, but most rebounds were off his own missed shots, wasn't really impressed with anyone too much.. BTW, who is 6'7 for Beechwood because I definitly didn't see it?

If williamstown has anyone back from last year they will give Bellevue all they can handle and some. Bellevue dissapointed me with the showing they had against Beech. They were only down ten at one point and seemed to just give up. The guard play is not varsity level. Didn't think losing Kessen and Bryan was that big, but it definitly showed. They need to find an answer with Barret and Jones. Barret came off the bench( not sure why?) and did almost everything for Bell. Hope they get it together. Good Luck Tigers.

With SK, every single one of their regular season games you might as well throw out. They are playing on a level so high, it's ridiculous.

I think Bellevue's whole season will come upon what Hunter Jones does, and what, if any guard play they can get...

Any predictions? Early test for Herald and a nice way to start his season against his old program. Bellevue loses a lot, but if Jones can carry a load could have a decent season.. Thoughts?

I would prefer to use the different types of zone, but only if ran right. Some kids think when they run a zone it's to get a breather or slow down. I like to use the zone to make the offense throw long passes, or start rushing, and driving without control.

I don't believe he came to the school until close to end? Not really sure, but that would be my guess, if he did that team would have been very tough...

Wasn't Bellevue grtting criticized for playing teams like this about two weeks ago?

They are dropping Bracken, they had a former contract with the former coach and this was the last year, I believe. I heard the talks of Scott, and also some team from Tenn. Not really sure, but that's what people have been saying so everyone can sleep at night knowing the Tigers (one of the smallest enrollment schools playing football) are playing even bigger schools... :dancingpa

He is definitly a great slasher with his speed and quickness... Not really sure on his shooting, I'll be able to tell after thanksgiving day, when my old self tries lacing it up in an alumni exibition game... He actually has great basketball skills, He has great awareness with, and without the ball. He handles the ball well. I believe he started, or at least played for his former high school as well...
