  1. NCC did not shoot well in the championship game. Only shooting 27%, makes it hard to get into your press defense.
  2. The Jr Division also has a another level last year. The Jr youth teams are made up of 10 year olds and new players. Also look for some great changes this year to scheduling. Some very exciting changes.
  3. Coach Trosper (no one thought they would be playing this weeken) Coach Boarchers (nice season) Eddie Eviston ( he is a one of the top 10 coach's in the state)
  4. Artie played with my nephew Jeremy Madden. They would hang out from time to time. Great Dude, Awesome Parents who owned Steinmetz Trucking. They would taligate before games and do it right.
  5. Jeremy Madden was a stud. He scored 4 touchdowns in the Mud Bowl to beat Highlands. The greatest high school game played in the worst conditions. Gabe Grey broke his record this year for most touchdown in a season.
  6. I would think Brady was the most successful athlete in the state last year. Football-QB State Champ Basketball-Guard/Forward 2nd leading scorer on team that lost in 9th region finals in 4 OT's. Maybe only sat out 2 minutes. Baseball- Shortstop, leadoff hitter, 9th region champs, lost in 2nd round of state baseball tourney.
  7. There are some great players at their postions, but as a all around player he is one of the best in the state. Brady does some amazing things on the field. Running, Throwing and his big plays on defense makes him a very special player. His leadership makes everyone on his team better. Brady's 99 yard interception return was very impressive.
  8. You can "close the book" on this tread and Campbell Cty season.
  9. The Parents, Administration and the CCYFL all joined together and refused to let the Red Devils (Tax Payers) and kids from playing on a field after 50 years. Yes 50 years. They charged the Red Devils $1500 to play on a Sunday that we honored a former Red Devil and CCHS player and coach. Then cancelled our next game and said we could not play there. They do not let Catholic kids (tax payers) play in that league. It is not a school league. Self Funded. This Aryan attitude by them has created this problem. (The term Aryan originates from the Sanskrit word ārya, in origin an ethnic self-designation, in Classical Sanskrit meaning "honourable, respectable, noble) Any Administration, League, Program that will do that to children needs to be called out. We have tried for 5 years of to correct, fix and help solve this problem. They refused these kids. This is the way they wanted it so Enjoy it.
  10. MemyselfandI. It is easy for you to support the Camels. Your paycheck depends on it. I supported CCHS for 25 years. It is sicking to see to what has been going on out there. Coach Lickert and kids are part of the solution. Everyone else is the problem.
  11. This how bad the program is. Last year I went down and helped the Head Coach put away down and field markers. And goal post Dummies. No support from you or anyone else. This was for a coach they begged to coach 6 years ago. Then gave him nothing but a trash bag to pick up after the games. This is a terrible program from a administration on down.
  12. You are another Clueless Camel Parent. Campbell may not win a game for the next 2 years. 7 grade team lost by almost 50 today against NCC. It will not get better.
  13. The 8th grade team has 50 kids. They lost to NCC by 2 scores.
  14. If they have only won one game from 7-12 grades then this will be a long rebuilding process. I am not bashing the kids or coach's. The parents and administration made a decision to exclude Red Devils from the field. And made it known that the players were not wanted. Kids were told if you do not play in youth league then don't come to high school there. This has caused a huge problem for Campbell County. The varsity was good last year. 12 starters last year played for the Red Devils. Last years coach's were great and did not need to be treated like they were. They recieved no support and could not get coach's teaching jobs. This was all controlled by Parents and Administration. Coach Lickert is trying to change this mentality. The youth league is a great idea for Campbell County. It is not competeive football. Yes the NKYFL is competive. Just like AAU basketball and Traveling Baseball teams and select soccer. You need compete if you want to win in NKY.
  15. Have the county won any games this year in their football program? 7th Grade, 8th grade, Freshman, JV, Varsity?
  16. Positives: 1) Running game much improved in Week 2. Popp, Durham, and Walsh were a triple-threat and will continue to improve. Here is a note to Camels and fans. Durham Nkyfl player. Walsh and Popp are Red Devil players. If Campbell County is going to be competive, they need to get competive players out of a competive league. I am have always been a Camel fan and i think Coach Lickert is a great coach. Keep fighting.
  17. Gabe played great tonight. I think he had 5 touchdowns in the 2nd half. If you didn't know. Gabe is the youngest son of Tevis Grey, the coach of Scott High School in the 80's.
  18. They can't decide on a QB. They are not sure who is going to run it. The Defense can't stop anyone.
  19. I like coach Lickert. I think that the past school board dug a big hole him. I am not sure how he will fill it. I do not see any good players coming into their program. But it will not be from a lack of trying on his part.
  20. People only want to see the negative aspect of things. Plus like I said to the same poster, aren't the Red Devils coached by dads as well? Yes, But my first 28 years i did not have a child playing. Coach Culp 32 years no kids. There are quit a few who are there with no kids. Yes we are competitve. Unlike Campbell County anymore.
  21. This what Campbell County High school wanted. Their own players and their own coach's. Highlands and New Cath always wanted the Red Devil Players. Campbell County told those kids, if you don't play here you won't get to play. It is a shame, because they will struggle to win 2 games this year. If that.
  22. Campbell county school board decided 5 years ago to separate themselves from the Red Devil program. They wanted to charge us $1500 a day for the field. Then decided that they still did not want us. Then decided they did not like coach Styer and Staff. Then hired a new stafff. Then most of the board and super are gone. Now current players and staff from Varsity down to 3 graders are left with a terrible system that will not work. They want a Ft Thomas youth feeder system that will not work because it is made up of parents parents that play favorites to their kids. I am sorry but this is the honest truth, Beechwood 6 and 7 grade players beat Campbell County 7 graders 35 -0. This is a 6a team getting beat by a 1a school. It will not get better.
