  1. I believe Mike Webster's brother Steve went on to be Academic All-American at Yale. Maybe Neer Fan will know.
  2. Is Miles Simpson the best ever to play at Simon Kenton High School?
  3. You never saw the lack of fan support or a coach dancing after mediocre wins?
  4. NCC basketball should show class like the football program and there coach. All year with coach's dancing on the floor after games. No wonder that sport doesn't get the same support as football.
  5. Just a quess but, Using a line from the Blues Brothers, I think Lynn Ray is getting the Band Back together.
  6. 1. Trinity 116-15 2. Boyle 106-20 3. St X 105-17 4. New Cath 105-24 5. Highlands 104-22 6. Beechwood 103-21 7. Danville 103-22 8. Belfry 101-24 9. Lex Cath 99-19 10. Male 98-23 Info from KHSAA
  7. He maybe a figurehead on somethings. But he is the special teams coach. The last couple of years his special teams have been breaking the school records for punt and kickoff returns for most yards. These are in all categories avg. and individuals.
  8. Since 2000 The top 4 winningest programs are: 1. Trinity 2. Boyle County 3. St X 4. New Cath
  9. The player I was most impressed with was number #10 for New Cath. He caught passes, threw passes and played 1 play at QB and scored. If that didn't work he punted NCC out the whole they dug themselves with penalties. While on defense he played safety, linebacker, and corner. He lined up as a spy on #1 on plays, When all else failed he picked up a backward pass and ran it for a touchdown. Like Andrews for FT Campbell. Ben Parr was everywhere in the stat book. He has been NCC best player all year. He also is one of the top 5 students in the school. There will be some happy coach who wins the prize in landing him at there school. I think he will go back to his natural position of QB in college,
  10. Coach Brannen should be happy that football is over. Now he can get his full team on the court and ready to win. The first 2 games were tune ups. Now with the inside game ready because of the football players. The outside guys will be able to start 3 ballin. This is the year Coach B has been building for. He has coached this team as a Jv coach and now in his 2nd year of varsity experience he is ready. Go Breds!!!!
  11. I also want to give cudos to Mark Kelly and Robbie Kues on gutting it out with injuries they sustained. Robbie dislocated his left shoulder again. The preliminary report on Mark Kelly is a partial tear of his MCL. Both teams left it all on the field today which made for a great, great championship game. #45 was in serious pain on the sideline as the doctor and trainer put his shoulder back into place. He never went to the locker room, never missed another down on offense.
  12. I was looking at the map and saw that most of Ft. Campbell is Tennesse. Do the players live in Ky or Tenn. I also saw that the QB was named Tenn TiTans player of the week 2 weeks ago. Maybe someone can help me with the details.
  13. I don't think NKY wants to decide who is best up here. We all played each other to get better for this weekend. We want to prove we are the best in the state!! If we had a 3a team and a 4a team we would compete there also. Good luck to the Pioneers, Bluebirds, Breds and Tigers.
  14. NCC will put all the pieces together soon. When and if they do they will be unbeatable. 1. Special teams are playing great 2. offense has some great moments when they had to. Beechwood game. They turned it on in 2nd half against Connor and Beechwood. Some say it is a sluggish start, others say great adjustments by coachs at the half. They have dropped the ball on passes and fumbles. They will work it out. 3. Big problem is the defense. They have been missing players all year at key positions. That leaves people rotating and playing different spots that there not used to. I believe that problem will be solved this week with kids getting healthier. Once it is all there. They will win by 24. Take away a score for every break down in these areas.
  15. Terry Brown is the Defensive Coach at Campbell County. Was on the coaching staff at New Cath during there Back-Back State Titles. Played College at Campbellsville and is a Teacher. Great at Strength and Winter Conditioning. I believe he will be a great coach in NKY.
  16. This will be the coming out party for Miles Simpson.
  17. This year they inducted Becky Alford and Gayle Warner who ran there cheerleaders for years. They also did allot more. They were already checking on nominations for next year. There will be more cheerleaders and directors in. There have been some cheerleaders (Lori Gooch) who went to KY and won National Championships there. This will make the event even better next year.
  18. Lloyd is going to be very good! I saw them play in the passing league and they were impressive.
  19. What an awesome event!!! The place was sold out and standing room only.
  20. San Diego State is correct. Who plans on attending?
  21. The Best Team ever had to be the 1976-77 Spartan Sr team. 7 guys off that team went on to Letter Division 1. Mark Pike, Chris Derry, Tim and Todd Schulte, Don Duckworth, Tim Odom, Jeff Lemker. They are being inducted as a Team into the NKYFL Hall of fame. Mark Pike is the very first inductee into the HOF>
